Annoyingly the ones I've liked the best have been the Astros. If the jersey I just found when I googled the Rangers new ones is accurate then that's a second massive whiff in a row. It'd effectively be like they're actively trying to make uniforms that look like generic crap you'd buy at some gas station.
Nice and generic (other than the Spanish of course).
My 9yr old son really likes some of the city connects out there. I'm all for anything that generates more interest from the younger generations.

That jersey is fine, and I might buy one if it's legit. But I think it would be a lot better if the lettering was in a second color.
I wonder if because they are the "Texas" team, they don't want the City Connects to lean into highlighting DFW/the Metroplex. Or if they have pressure from the City of Arlington not to.

The new City Connect looks like a Theme night giveaway. It's very similar to the Mexican Heritage jersey from 2023.

I am skeptical this is what they are going to look like. They spent so much time designing the Peagle etc. and this is what they come up with for round 2? I don't know.
Yeah I agree. The first ones were really popular and had a ton of little details. I'd be surprised if they mailed it in on these.
Is there a rule that says the city connect has to change every year? I guess that's how you make money, but there was absolutely nothing wrong with the Peagle unis.
You could make a case that the Peagle stuff would continue to sell if the Rangers stated they were committed to the Peagle being the city connect unis for the foreseeable future.

Don't quote me on it, but I do think there are rules in place stating that they must change designs or something akin to that every 3 years.
They have to change every three years.

Teams must change every three years thanks to NIKE with all this. I liked the Nats original city connects then they downgraded. My first thought with these is that they're the Hispanic heritage night jersey.

For these to work, you need to go full Hispanic flare and have the pants and hat both be that bright red color as well. Or something like the sleeve trim/lettering.
They aren't bad, but they aren't special by any means.
Personally, and I realize I'm in the minority, I thought the peagle city connects sucked. Might have liked them better but I hated, hated, hated the colors. These aren't an improvement by any stretch of the imagination. One more example, IMO, of MLB fixing things that don't need fixing and ignoring things that absolutely should be fixed (the archaic blackout rules for instance).
I liked the uniforms, logo etc. I HATED the navy blue pants with it all. I am pretty vehemently against colored pants as whole. Pants should be gray white or cream colored and call it a day.
I liked the hats with the old city connect uniforms but never did care for the black pants. Black pants in baseball always seems low rent to me.
These new uniforms look terrible. Like someone gave this less than 3 minutes of effort. This franchise is trying my patience...

I'm with you. I liked some individual elements (like the Peagle), but the colors were terrible,I hated the dark pants, and absolutely loathed the number font. These new ones remind me of the red Angels jerseys with red numbers. It's visually unappealing and they somehow managed to pick some weird god awful shade of red on top of it.

Really looking forward to this season. If the bats can make a comeback and injuries are minimal, I think we can prove everyone wrong and make the postseason.
