It's because Polymarket is tagged as a betting site whereas Kalshi is tagged as an odds market.

We'd be fine with closed primaries. But the sellouts in the Texas legislature tossed that aside.

Conceptually, it is so dumb. They are the exact same thing.

Thune is up for reelection in '28, South Dakota should start planning his defeat and put a conservative in office.

Looks like the Hunt voters went for Paxton. I did.

Same. Big crowd at the Bastrop courthouse to vote tonight at 610pm. Doubt big turnout here bodes well for Cornyn. Bet he and Thune are rethinking playing games with the SAVE Act.

Then again, they will just starve Paxton of campaign cash while they throw it away on non competitive races and then if Paxton loses, they will tell us it was because he was a "terrible candidate" instead of because they deprived him of financial support.

Trump controls the purse this go round.

To be a dim and vote in this runoff you'd have to not have voted in the dim primary. I don't know how many dim voters that would be, not that many I would think.

Lots of democrats voting for Paxton.

Why this doesn't bother more republicans in this state, or at least mildly concern them, is bewildering to me.

Nope. If you voted in the Democratic Primary then you are not eligible to vote in a Republican runoff.

I guess my point is that there's never been this kind of concerted effort in Texas by democrats to get a republican nominated. When democrats go as far as funding social media ads for a republican candidate and setting up petitions to have democrats commit to voting for them, it would seem to me they REALLY think they can beat that guy.

Which is why Texas democrats got tens of thousands of democrats to commit to voting in the republican primaries.

So "lots" of Democrats that couldn't be bother to vote in the Democrat primary are now enthusiastically voting for Paxton in a runoff? I have been wrong before, and I will be wrong again very soon, but I am not buying this theory. At all.

How many?

Likely negligible number.

What Democrats didn't vote in march, but now decide to swing an election?

You can fit them all in one bus.
