It appears to me that the dim powerbrokers are going all in on Telephono and that, at least to me, would present more of a challenge for Paxton. Paxton is headed to a runoff, most likely with John Wayne McCornyn, I just may cross the line and go vote for Jazzy. Seriously considering it.

I voted for Wesley Hunt at the Austin Recreation Center 3 days ago, but I think there will be a primary runoff between John Cornyn and Ken Paxton. If that happens, I hope John Cornyn wins the primary because I think Cornyn has a better chance than Ken Paxton of beating James Talarico in the general election. A general election matchup between Paxton and Talarico would likely be a tossup. If Jasmine Crockett wins the Democratic nomination, she has a very slim chance of winning the general election.

A Democrat hasn't won any Texas statewide office since 1994, a Texas gubernatorial election since 1990, a Texas US Senate election since 1988, and Texas electoral votes in a Presidential election since 1976. I hope these trends continue in the gubernatorial and US Senate elections on 11/3 to keep Texas red.

Voted for Hunt yesterday.

But yes, any of the three republicans will mop the floor with her. In my dream scenario we go to a run off of Hunt-Paxton and the former somehow surges for the win (plausible if Trump endorses then and the NRSC decides to back him).

The Cornyn backers don't seem to be the type who to want Paxton to win.

Then again, it may not matter given the fall off in voter numbers for runoffs.

I admit I agree with you but also it's probably more likely it will be Paxton-Cornyn in the run-off, unfortunately, though I think Hunt is outperforming so far. The ads on that will drive us all crazy, if so.

I think Paxton wins a runoff with Cornyn. His supporters (or I should say the anti-Cornyn vote) seem more likely to show up in the runoff.

Agree again. And I'm not concerned about the general election this cycle at this point, but I think Paxton would be a vulnerable incumbent in 2032, against a decent contender from their side. Hunt would be a much more 'survivable' Senator long term, imho (and would mop the floor with jazzy).

Going up against Crockett is a dream. No chance she wins against any of the GOP field. If its Crockett everyone should be voting for Paxton in the runoff. If its Tararico, it gets tricky because he could beat Paxton, but not Cornryn.

If I 100% knew Crockett would win the dem primary I'd change my vote from Cornyn to Paxton

If it's pretty much guaranteed to be a GOP runoff, why not just vote for Paxton in the primary right now?

Then you can see who wins between Talarico and Crockett before making your final vote in the GOP runoff.

Judging by the amount of anti-Hunt mailers I get on a daily basis, Cornyn and his people have spent an insane amount of money to take out Hunt. It is their only hope to getting to a runoff.....but very few that vote for Hunt will vote for Cornyn in a runoff. That number only goes up is Jazzy is the nominee as opposed to Pastor OnlyFans.
