I am flying out of terminal B, but I ended up going to terminal A to get checked in. TSA Pre check was no wait at all. Non TSA pre check line was fairly long, but didn't look terrible. I would guess less than 1 hour wait. I took a quick ride on the skyway over to terminal B. No idea if the other terminals are worse but A isn't terrible, especially if you have precheck.

We fly United on Wednesday to Hawaii. I think it's terminal C (doesn't show terminal on our ticket yet). Says to check our bags at C, then go to E for security. Then I guess back to C?
You're saying checking in through A is faster than E? Anyone know if you can do the skycap check in for United at A, to avoid having to go to C to check bags first?
I'm hoping an early mid-week flight will be much better than what we've seen over the weekend & today.

A with pre check was 5m, regular line wasn't much worse

You can't check United bags at A, that's the only issue with A it seems.

Cleared security at Terminal E around noon. Took me about 15 minutes to go through the pre-check line. The regular line was long, but was inside the terminal, not extending outside like the earlier photo showed. It was moving, my guess was that it would have been around 1 hour. All the TV stations had their cameras setup to make it look as bad as possible.
I have precheck but the guy at C convinced us to stay in the K9 line, took about 30 minutes at 8 am. They had us lined up outside which felt unnecessary and more for the visuals

Just got a text from United saying they're adding kiosks at C but travelers are "welcome to check-in at Terminal E for a more streamlined experience".
I'm on a 0951 to BOS tomorrow and the A method (Pre-Check, no bags) has been golden for me all year. Gonna go with the one that brung me, wish me luck.

Through Clear-Pre in less than five minutes this morning in A terminal. Arrived at security 4:30 ish after taking underground train from Marriott. Drove in from CS because i could not miss my 7:20 flight.
Standard security looked like it was already backing up.
Walked by C and there is one open security line on the North side, looks like they're using South side for storage.

My parents are on Air France today. Dropping at D, check bags, and then they'll walk to E Pre check.

At 5:15 this am went through E.
Had "premier" but no TSA pre-check or clear.

I went past the bomb dogs in SeaTac this summer. It was pretty fast.
Terminal A at 615 was dead. Through in 5 minutes. Moved my flight waaaay up lol
Just came thru A. Virtually no line for Pre-Check and the Spiritonians must all still be asleep as there was maybe a 2 minute wait for that line.
Parking garage in A was empty on 6th floor, A remains the play if you've got no bags.

The IAH website is showing 10 minutes for regular security in Terminal A and 25 mins thru security for terminal E. Yesterday morning was showing 180 mins for both of them.
Is the website even remotely accurate? Trying to figure out what time to schedule Lyft for a pickup tomorrow for a flight that leaves at 9:30 am.

Honestly just try and get to the airport by 630 and give yourself a reprieve from stress. Terminal A I think continues to be the best bet.

Yeah, was about to say it's probably pretty close to accurate in real-time but anything could happen in this shutdown environment. Not worth taking any chances (especially if you don't have pre-check)
