10 minutes through E just now. 6 or 7 x-ray stations open and plenty of TSA just standing around. No logical reason for pre check and clear to be missing but they were treating the normal lines like pre check.

That makes ZERO sense though to me. So they cannot pay their people, but they can shift/relocate a team of more people that also aren't being paid to another city where they will continue to work without pay... But in a taxpayer funded hotel.

I wonder if those TSA workers had to wait four hours in line to catch a flight to the city where they were reassigned.
Hobby @ 4:30 PM. Took me all of two minutes to get through (TSA/CLEAR). No real lines in the other queues either.
15 minutes car to gate through terminal A today. Arrival 0530. ICE standing around directing traffic. I think this **** is finally over. Heard they are opening C this week.
My family is flying out of IAH on Thursday afternoon. I really hope the long lines are finally over. I was stuck in them as a business traveler last week and was dreading doing it with the entire family.
Just went through E in about 5 minutes. I'd gladly do away with precheck / touchless /whatever if screening functioned like it did today.
For reference, been CO/UA platinum or 1K for 30 years.
Shoes on, belts off, jackets off. Get the bags through the machines before you go through metal detectors. I loathe seeing "new" bag screening machines because they act like each one needs some kind of a biochemical deconstruction before passing through the inspection. IMO it's the slowest part of the process.
But…this is like a TSA holiday today, I guess.
Just hope Atlanta on Thursday afternoon is normal for the return trip.

A precheck was open just now
Terminal C precheck was open to all this morning. Went through at 6am, no wait. I didn't see any regular TSA lines open.
ATL touchless Pre check at 3:30: no line whatsoever.

Got through TSA pre check in less than 5 minutes this morning in Terminal C. Regular security looked to be about 10-15 minutes.
The missus just made it through the regular TSA line at Terminal A in 20 minutes. Peachy.
Got through term C precheck about 30 mins ago. Took about 10 mins.

Terminal A Touchless Precheck 3 min. Regular line already snaking. Regular Precheck I'd guess 15 min.
If you don't have Touchless, it's the fastest available at pretty much any airport.

Confirmed same experience at 6:00 AM this morning in A North. Touchless is the way to go.

Going through security in Amsterdam it's cool that you can reserve a 15 min timeslot a couple days before. Just show up at your slot and it's only a few mins line, while regular security is like 30+ mins
