Wondering the same. Flight leaves out of Hobby at 5:40am tomorrow so I have to imagine that it should be ok that early.

I use them all the time just for those spur of the moment personal trips and had no idea they were Aggie owned!
TSA was open at C and took me 20 minutes to get through the regular line, cause I'm a poor.

Hobby TSA Pre tool less than 10 minutes but the regular security line was backed up to the counters this morning. Never seen that before.
Got to IAH Terminal A at 5:30am for a 8:30am flight to St Louis (BTHOMizzou).
Pre-Check line was out into the Terminal A lobby. Standard screening was 10 people deep.
I went through standard screening in 10 minutes.
They had one TSA working PreCheck and 3 TSA working standard screening.
No idea why people would stay in an hour long TSA Precheck line when standard was nearly empty.

If it's close, I can understand doing pre for the reduced screening of you/your stuff, but now that everyone keeps their shoes on, I agree with you. Would have made the same call.

good to know. Headed to NYC next Thursday morning for a wedding, and flying United. We have to check bags so I guess its C first then check to see if they are letting TSA Pre-check thru at C, otherwise over to E.

Same for us but we went through A pre-check on way to Mizzou. 8 min total. Now 3 hours to kill in the United Club(it's packed)
Wife got through in about 8 minutes at 3:30m today. E, TSA pre, Clear.
30min through E standard screening at 730am this morning.
About 15 minutes through TSA E. It looked long but moved really fast. Had 5 agents and all bag screening lanes open

Absolutely it is. But when an eight figure customer replaces one of the primary decision makers at the company, you get up there to see the new guy the first day they'll take you.

Maybe someone can help me out as my googlefu is weak and airline is not helping. I usually fly domestic but flying British Airways out of Terminal D and have to check a bag.
One direction says go to D to check bag and then go to E for security another direction says go to E to check bag.
Anyone know which is correct?
Also how has customs clearance in IAH been looking recently? Recent flight back from Canada and it was backed up at the POE in Edmonton but have no clue how bad it has been at IAH.

British Airways ticket counter for checking bags is D. Start there then head to E for security as right now, D security is closed.

Shutdown is not over yet. Still have procedural votes that could take anywhere from an hour to 5 days depending on how long democrats drag it out (They can require 30 hours between votes). Then after funding is approved the paychecks will take some time to go out. I don't think they just appear in a direct deposit, i think hey are adjusted on the next 1-2 pay checks on payday. Then the people have to decide to go into work. Some of the TSA may have gotten seasonal jobs that pay just as well.

I think by Thursday everything should be back to normal The Democrats finally gave up and are ready to get the Government back open instead of trying to continue to fight for healthcare for illegals.

I flew this past Thursday and there were 0 issues with TSA at A, took 5 min all in with precheck
Do TSA and Air Traffic Controllers get paid for the days they have not shown up for work? If not then they should be back now - they know it's gonna end and might as well get paid eventually over never (assuming they don't get paid for days they have not shown up).
