I'm flying international out of D on Friday.
Do we think TSA will be back to normal by then?

I'm planning to get there at 11 for a 3 pm flight. KLM business class so planning to hang out in the klm lounge if we breeze through security.

Thanks for this. My MIL is flying to IAH from Boston and looks like a lot of delays but not a ton of cancellations. Hopefully that remains. IAH appears to be one of the least miserable airports in the nation.

Anyone flown in and out of BNA in the last week from IAH or elsewhere? Have a work trip next week and curious if I should prepare for an unmitigated disaster there as well.

Flew last week BNA-dfw-sea. No issues. Bna TSA seems to be fine.
Flew yesterday BNA-phx-geg.... also no issues.

Both Friday and yesterday my return flights back to IAH were delayed several hours because the note said "The FAA was limiting flights landing at IAH due to safety reasons for staffing with ATC" - Friday was from New Orleans and yesterday was from Chicago.

Guess I just got extremely lucky or ATC was prioritizing hub-to-hub as I went from IAH-DEN and back yesterday.

I didn't see delays this past week in or out of IAH so I think it's just luck of the draw right now

i was ORD to IAH yesterday and was delayed 2 hours (hub to hub). but it was the incoming flight from AUS to ORD that caused my delay. However, the message I got via text was the above message about FAA limiting flights taking off and landing at IAH.

The way I took the communications I read from United and just in the news was that ATC was limiting flights and then United, and would assume other airlines may do the same, decided to keep al hub-to-hub intact. I would think ATC would not care where the reductions came from.

About a week ago (after the FAA announcement) went in and out of BNA, no issues. I have clear and pre check but the lolpoors line was fine too.

Arriving at B today on United without a checked bag. Can I be picked up at B? Or is Marriott better? Cannot recall and search was unsuccessful. IAH app says pickup at B is possible, but I don't believe it.

It is not possible. You'll have to train and go to A or C.

I'll be there tomorrow, so this is good to hear.

So, we have to check bags at C then take the toy train or walk underground to C. Is that the way it's done these days (so much construction that I'm not sure).

Just read the fine print.

I know some people that got a flight out of Austin that was "United *operated by Spirit Airlines*".

They were on the tarmac a long time, then back to the gate, then back to the tarmac, then back to the gate a deplane, then back to the tarmac, and eventually made it to their destination about 6 hours late

Are you sure they didn't book through a 3rd party site and ended up with Spirit instead of United?

Because, as Diggity mentioned, those two don't codeshare. Spirit is not a Star Alliance member.

United, more recently, has taken a direct attack against Spirit's flights.

Yeah, I am guessing that was a kayak.com or travelocity booking that split airlines.

There are quite a few AUS-IAH flights, so I rarely have a layover more than about 90 minutes.

I actually flew out of Terminal B last Friday. The train I took was running between B, C & E.
