I like that we have more races in the US, but why does Vegas and Miami have to make it such an over the top spectacle?

Yes. Not sure what happened with Charles. He was within the 5s penalty window of Kimi until last lap. I wonder if he had todo the Ferrari lift and coast like previous races.
The double DQ puts Oscar back closer to Lando in the standings than he was just after the race end.

Late, but my thoughts on Vegas:
-It's a marketing race, they want to show all their partnerships.
-The crowd was DEAD for the race. And I mean it, DEAD. I've seen more energy in the crowd at opening band sets. I sat on Main Grandstand that night.
-It was very cold.
-The rail makes this one of the easiest GPs to get around imo. I was staying at the Westgate and had no issues getting back quick.
-Thursday attendance was bad, F1 didn't fill the main grandstand or koval sections, and F1 Academy had it worse.
-LOTS and I mean LOTS of organized M&Gs but you have to put the effort. I waited 5 hours to meet the Haas guys.
I will come back next year since they got F1 Academy again and at this point like 80% of the grid, parents and nearly all the staff just got used to seeing me there lol. I am known as the "superfan that travels" lol

Westgate is nothing fancy tbh, so booking week of via one of those 3rd party sites, it was $226.98 for Wednesday to Monday (before resort fees...ugh). Monorail stop is right there so that's why i felt it was very convenient as it only takes 12 mins to get to horseshoe which was the closest stop to my entrance.
Places like Venetian, Cosmo, Wynn, MGM are probably the fanciest to stay at during F1. That's where most of the pop ups or events were held at

The Safety Car at Lap 7 has caused a dilemma for most of the field. If a car pitted at 7 and before 32, they have to pit again before the end of the race (3-stop).
As a result, most of the field has to come through right at Lap 32.

McLaren could not have played this any worse, threw the race away on lap 7. I just hope Lando can get back to P3.
Just a terrible race from McLaren strategists.
What happened to Antonelli? It really did look like he just let Norris pass him.
He fell 5 seconds behind Norris on that last lap, something must have failed

Really pleased for Sainz. That was a great race for him and in a Williams no less!
It's going to be really interesting if Kimi's gift to Lando comes into play for their final standings.
So many thoughts -
Horner choosing Yuki over Sainz is still ridiculous to me.
Antonelli possibly letting Norris pass to F with Red Bull? 10 points going to 12 is huge.
Oscar has to be pissed.
Norris is in control of his championship and has to focus on his drive and not Max.

I think Kimi looks up to Max, they are always talking and it seems genuine, almost father/son relationship. Onboards post race showed Kimi's car stepping out on him causing him to lose some speed and made for an easy pass for Norris. I think his tires were dead.
I think Max is going to pull it out. He (and Red Bull) has really looked locked in the last couple of races. You can't say the same about McLaren. They seem to be doing everything in their power to lose it for their drivers.
