It hurts to say this but I genuinely had a good time. F1 was fun, F1 Academy was a good race. Fanzone here is not as good as COTA, never saw sims or even the trophy, they have more hospitality stuff than fan stuff, but at least the F1 Academy paddock was open unlike Shanghai lol.

No impromptu trips for me anymore until Zandvoort/Monza, super excited to get to see F1 Academy then F2/F3 in back to back weekends

Is it Miami where typically someone shows a pic of the ridiculous suite pricing which has items like $25.00 water?

I don't remember seeing $25 water, but nachos were like $75 and a burger was like $90.

I just found the graphic again. It was $25 for a bucket of 5 water bottles, not one like I thought. On that same graphic though, you could get 5-figure champagne, tequila, etc.

that was a pretty good race. lots of overtaking especially compared to the other races this year. Missed Apex said earlier that Piastri is playing match play golf right now and winning. He's realized that he doesn't have to shoot the best score. He just has to win the next hole. More power to him as I did not think Piastri had the skill.

What is there to say about Ferrari at this point? They continually put their feet together and fire from a double barreled shotgun into them. Hamilton was on mediums that were faster but shown to fall off by other drivers. Leclerc was on hards which were showing to gain speed later.

So, what does Ferrari do? That sit around for several laps with Hamilton clearly faster but stuck. They finally swap them after Hamilton has mostly burned up the quickest laps of the mediums. Then, Leclerc is stuck when his hards were coming into form.

If they had any semblance of strategy, they would have swapped Hamilton and Leclerc straight away. Let Hamilton hunt down Antonelli and tow Leclerc along. They would have had a chance to get not 1 but 2 drivers past Antonelli. Instead they got none.

I'll admit I've only been following a few years, but Ferrari always seems to strategize around what they expect their car to be, rather than what it is. And its bitten them in the rear time and time again.

Every time I see Lance Stroll all I can think about is the scene in Talladega Nights when Ricky Bobby is on a pit crew. His driver pulls over and gets out of the car to take a piss, eat a chicken sandwich, and make a phone call in the middle of the race.

Lance is no great shakes - but he's basically Albion, Ocon or Gasly.

Him getting points in this weekend's sprint race was huge.

He's still not close to the driver those other 3 are.

As far as Alonso is concerned, he would have likely finished in the points for the sprint had Lawson not taken him out. He also finished this weekend ahead of Stroll and has two retirements this year.


In reference to everything else, his skills are just not the same as the rest of the grid. Aston Martin has a decent car. He should be at the edge of the points almost every week

The clips from that Lego "race" have been pure gold. You can really tell how much they are all genuinely enjoying themselves. It took about 22,000 hours of planning and building to make those things all done largely in secret. So when the wrecked and crashed, I did cringe a little bit.


I saw a TikTok of a track marshal who was helping clean up afterwards. He snagged a Mercedes Lego fender and ran off with ti.

I always try to spend the least inside, and with Miami being a US race I didn't really feel the need to buy track/city merch like at other places. For official merch, the Miami 'Puma Sketch" hats they had were $110, on ebay they are going for $150 already, but I got 2 for $130 from F1 UK store via a proxy lol. US online is sold out already, it must be more limited than the Scuderia Ferrari white hats as those are still available.

There were pizza slices for $10+$2 tip so that was good for me. Brough my bottle of water to just keep going to the stations to refill and had liquid iv with me. I will say these weekends for me are brutal because I sleep bad, don't eat well, and walk the most, but I can still handle it lol.

I did hear about how GA was even more limited this year because some spots became new hospitalities or foodie experiences, I did see one called Zuma but i don't know what it was, but basically the whole 200 level of the stadium was VIP activations/add ons.

Miami is just, a different vibe, I don't know who they want to cater to. COTA is definitely more fan friendly.

Team is testing right now in Zandvoort, today was F2's Ritomo Miyata, rumor is tomorrow is Franco Colapinto, we could see 1-2 more drivers in that test as well.
