How many of the remaining 16 teams have a head coach that is also the pitching coach. I am guessing none.

I was very surprised by the many empty seats during our games. Games I watched at other regional venues had very large attendance when the home schools played. Perhaps there is a similar lack of enthusiasm related to generating NIL.

Need to find a way to monetize all the people sitting beyond the outfield fence. Why pay to sit in the stands when you can set up a tailgate with your own food and drink for free.

The food and drink prices at Davis Diamond are absurd, however that wouldn't keep me from buying a ticket to get in to watch softball. At some point maybe they will get some bleachers out there similar to baseball, but I don't see it happening anytime soon.

Burger = patty and bun, no veggies and add your own mustard. Barely warm but greasy waffle fries
1 soft drink on refillable cup
---------------
$27.00

Burger had been made hours earlier and had sat under a heat lamp until the bun was glued to the meat

You are exactly right on that one! I only buy the pretzel if I get hungry. Meanwhile when I went to the SEC Championship last season in Georgia, food was great, they served coke products and prices were well below what is charged at Davis Diamond. On top of that their people were extremely friendly and offered to carry one of our companions food to their seat since they were hobbled with a foot injury.

I was really hoping Trev would find a way to upgrade concessions at sporting events. Guess it isn't on his priority list.

Apparently they don't listen to those surveys they send out every year on Kyle Field and Olsen and Davis, etc. experiences. Because if they did, they would've gotten rid of Levy years ago. It really is horrible. We sit in a really nice area of Kyle, we've had tickets for 40 years, not trying to brag, and our selections are horrible.

Olsen is a little better but seriously they don't seem to give a rats ass what people have to say in these surveys.

There's the deal with concessions, you have to get the Hopdoddy, Double Daves, etc. The Round Rock Express model they use local restaurants in RR and give them a chance to make money, people are willing to pay for quality, but overpaying for crap, that's a problem

Freebirds is awesome in Kyle Field, that should be the standard

Years ago we had outside vendors at Kyle Field. They were located under the stands. Anyone remember the delicious Carmel Corn? 2 sizes of bags. Also food vendors.

Not everyone likes to do that. But regardless of if you do there still should be better choices.

She is on paper but Mike White is doing the lion's share.

Pannell wasn't the closer we needed. Didn't really have anyone after the two syds. That was a flop of a transfer

Sparks and Vestal were flops too.

The year Sparks and Pannell had is a direct result of the change in the strike zone this year. They simply don't have the arsenal to be effective at a high level with this new tiny strike zone.

Coach White does good bit of the pitching to hitters in practice, but Coach Taylor works with the pitchers on mechanics and game planning.

This is simply not accurate. He is very hands-on with the pitchers.

Coach White was a pitcher for Team New Zealand and Team USA, so he and Coach Taylor share the responsibilities. I believe he does most of the recruiting and makes the final decisions on personnel (starters, pitching changes, etc.). Coach Taylor makes the visits to the circle when no pitching change is being made because she helps them make adjustments mid-inning. Coach White talks with them between innings and when Texas is batting. I have no connection to the program or inside knowledge, but that is what I've noticed in the documentaries and the "mic'd up" segments on LHN the last few years.

She goes out to talk scouting reports and how they want to attack hitters. Mechanics are usually left alone during games. White is very active with regards to mechanical issues during the fall and early season.
