We got knocked out of our own regional for the second straight year. We not only lost to Arizona State in game 3, but we also got run-ruled by Arizona State in 5 innings in a must-win game 6.

This type of sh.t is becomming increasingly aggie. I'm so fking tired of rolling out the red carpet for opponents.

We need a ton of players we over achieved this season. We can't hit in the clutch at all.

Anybody with a little bit of softball knowledge knew this team was going to live and die by their offense and that is certainly no way to win a title. We simply didn't have the arms to win big games. We were able to punch above our weight class for a while early in the conference season and in short spurts throughout the season but that is not sustainable. Gotta get 2 pitchers, 3B, 1B, and 2B locked up via incoming freshmen or the portal.

Tard has a better program than we do and it's all "MONEY". They spent a "1,000,000.00 on a pitcher they throw damn near every game. Find one and PAY HER!!!

I'm not a softball die hard but it seems to me that there's a dozen teams that are one pitcher away. NIL is going to change softball more than perhaps any other sport because of the impact of elite pitchers. The schools that really care will pony up that money to buy one.

I don't think we are anywhere near "fire her" territory. I think she is a great coach, and I love her hard-ass coaching mentality, but I say that as someone who is extremely competitive - it seems to rub some of her players the wrong way. I think this can throw off the team culture, but I definitely don't think it is as bad as what it was under Evans (I was an RA at white creek and the softball girls lived on my floor, so I heard stories). Also, it was kind of odd that no one from ASU followed, but our team also wasn't anything "special" so that could also be partially why.

Our team has been solid throughout the season, but just really fell off at the end of the season. I think she does make some questionable pitch calling choices and waits too long to dig into the bullpen though. Our coaching staff is especially solid with Harper and Heffley.

If she can't land pitchers via the portal or HS then something will have to change. I don't think we are providing enough financial support for anyone to have success right now but that is simply speculation. Her reputation as a pitching coach is very solid and the inability to get top talent tells me its a money issue but again, I have no proof of that.

Ford is here because we have her plenty more $ to spend than she had at AZ State. Obviously, we have infinite more $ than Liberty.

Today's game was over before it started. Something is rotten at Davis. It seems like our squads are ready and willing to go home when our opponents are here to fight for their lives.

Ford is going to have more trouble raising money after these last 2 season's collapses. There are only about 2 positions on the field where we won't be looking for new starters or upgrades next year. However, the players here that we could upgrade from might have much better seasons elsewhere. That tells me we have a culture problem.

We've definitely had offense pull out wins in some games we should have lost several times this season. I've said since Selection Sunday that the NCAA was back on their bs giving us ASU, a conference tournament winning team, and our coach's old team. Same as they always make us go through Austin to get to WCWS, they want those better ratings from rivalries in the earlier rounds.

On the other hand, we looked horrible today. We haven't played that tight, uncomfortable, and uncoordinated since the UCLA game. Not sure what happened between last night and now but you could tell from the 1st inning that at no point were we mentally in this game. It just hurts more getting embarrassed back to back years in our own regional.

I think this is spot on.
She's a great coach we overachieved this year and we finished the year as we started vs very good teams, Bad pitching mistakes lack of hitting all reared their head again.

Definitely not a favorable draw but you gotta win. I just don't think this team was built in a way that could win a series against a team with good/great pitching and above average hitting. Our pitching was just too weak. Hopefully a full reload is coming because I can guarantee Ford ain't gonna sleep until she gets some pitching.
