I think so. Probably sweating it out a little bit, but this should do it. I was worried we'd bring our SCAR offense back, but not the case. They flushed it and have moved on it seems.

Momentum is so huge in this game.

I know how good this OU team is. Gasso does a great job getting players of that caliber to play at their potential which I don't think a few other coaches of super star teams do. All that being said I am so pumped to be a the park tomorrow because I like our chances to take the series. This A&M team just competes their way to wins.

Georgia walks off Florida 10-9

That is one piece of the unlikely puzzle that could give the Ags an SEC championship.

Still would need to sweep OU and have S Carolina beat Bama

It certainly is interesting to see how different they are compared to the first 25 games. So many close games they dropped against really good teams, the team of today would probably win all of those 1 run games.

I agree. Something in their mindset changed after that ULaLa loss. Since that day they have played much better ball. Still a not perfect but much more intent and intense.

Main thing is securing a Top 4 seed in the SEC Tournament. I was looking at it earlier and there were so many variables it made my head hurt.

Seems like the biggest factor to me was Kowalewski. Once she got behind the plate, the pitching got so much better. After she settled in the there, you could just see her mindset change; she got more confident and then raised her batting average a ton.

Baylor beat Tech 8-7

Tech will be an example where the committee ignores the RPI when it seeds the tournament. They're not going to finish in the top 8 but will probably be a top 5 seed.

If going off the committee's previous metrics, Texas Tech should not even be a top 6 seed. The committee would have to stray largely from the metrics they have used in previous years, and frankly the only thing helping them is the eye test. I think they ultimately end up anywhere from 7-10. In regards to the sec tourney, if we sweep OU we get a double bye. If we split the last two games and tennessee sweeps mizzou we are tied with them but idk how the tiebreaker would work

I hope the committee sends them out of the top 8. I just have a hard time believing they'll do it.

It will be interesting to see how much the use RPI and how much they use DSR.

I will at these ratings more on Monday when the dust has settled. Conference tournaments are meaningless for most teams. Maybe 8 vs 9 or 16 vs 17 but a select few on the cut line.

With the committee having a new toy we might be surprised by their choices or it might like when the committee added KPI and no one noticed because they largely ignored it

Of course the double bye would have been nice but I like how the bracket is set up for us. OU on the other side so we don't have to constantly hear about the HR record. Also will see teams we did not play in the regular season if we make a run.

After looking over resumes and shifting team a bit for the match ups that the committee loves to come up with here is my first stab at the predicted host sites. It will be interesting to see if the committee leans more on RPI or more on DSR. The same teams are still the top 8 so likely doesn't matter but the order is different. The next 8 are even more different.

Yes I moved A&M up to match with Texas and Florida St is a bit higher to match with Florida. I think the last spot is still a fight between Georgia and Virginia Tech. Virginia Tech is 19 in the RPI but 12 in the DSR. Georgia is 15 RPI and 17 DSR

Will be interesting to see how the committee does it. We should definitely be ahead of LSU and Georgia. We beat them head to head and finished ahead of them in conference but we will see.

Any matchups in Supers will be difficult. I wouldn't hate a matchup with tu, we seem to match up with them pretty well.

The only matchup I really hate is Oklahoma. Everyone else I really think we can beat in a 3 game series. Oklahoma's offense is beyond elite, it's extraordinary even for them.

Sip would be difficult but there's nothing special about playing at their dump of a stadium. I'd much rather play them there instead of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

Arkansas is really good at everything, but is beatable.

Florida might be a problem. Off the top of my head I'm not sure we have even won a game in Gainesville - other than the super regional in 2018 where we managed to steal game 2. They just always seem to have our number.

Just looked. We are 1-16 all time in Gainesville.
