RPI Thru 4/19/2026 (thru SEC Week 7)
The SEC continues to hold the top 4 spots in RPI and 6 of the top 7 (with Nebraska being the other team in that top 7). Big movers this week were Texas A&M (up 7 spots) after sweeping Mississippi St. And LSU (up 6 spots) after sweeping Ole Miss. Georgia is down 4 spots even though they have split the first two games of their series with Texas with the series finale coming up tonight. Georgia was hurt from a mid-week win over Kennesaw St. (7-36 overall record, #223 RPI).
Another RPI weirdness. Ole Miss is 25-5 in non-conference games. When I started doing this in SEC week 1, Ole Miss was RPI #22. Ole Miss has a 2-16 SEC record (now 27-21 overall). And they have fallen 1 spot in the RPI during that time from #22 to #23. They have faced #2 Texas, #3 Alabama, #6 Oklahoma, #7 Tennessee, #10 LSU, and #11 Texas A&M. They took 2 of 3 at Tennessee and have been swept in the rest. The close SEC play with #29 Auburn and #18 Mississippi St.
Our Aggies have two series remaining in the regular season: 1) at #28 South Carolina this weekend and 2) at Davis next weekend against #6 Oklahoma.
Movement as compared to last week listed in parenthesis after ranking.
