They have had leisurely conversations for a year about this. It's a shame he thinks 3 minutes is too long for a resident to speak.

How can we attract an ideal business? That's our job. I think we need to look for something else for this spot. And look our our processes to avoid this. The only thig I would have done differently is to do this sooner.

This was awesome to watch. But stay diligent, my friends because after believing our representatives had our backs, we are in fact, getting an apartment complex at the entrance of Copperfield
City manager and staff are still a problem and the iron is still hot. This should have been a non starter. How does an entire community learn in 6 days what the council couldn't or was interested in for 10 months?
I will always remember those that spoke so passionately tonight - the stay at home mom with a 9-month old baby sleeping on her chest in a carrier as she wept and spoke about her concerns, the military veteran and now TAMU sophomore who just purchased a home near the proposed site, the real estate agent that sold a home recently in Midtown who explained how property values will be affected for so many, and many, many more. Thank you for your stories! You were heard and it made a difference.

I wonder if Mr. Schwertner regrets saying how he wasn't that smart at tonight's meeting and only had "a 2 point something GPA" when he graduated from TAMU.
