With all the technology in the cars and used by F1, I'm surprised the drs isn't more automated where it can't be deployed outside of the drs zones or even manually.

One thing I am not sure about is, when cars on lead lap get drs to overtake lapped cars, is that only available in the drs zones?

I think Mercedes disabled the failsafe for deployment because their timing data failed and would have never let him deploy it if it was within a second. That is why his race engineer said you have to wait until we tell you. He probably accidentally hit the button.

Also that is why they told Norris to be sure they were within a second to activate DRS because they weren't sure if the gap to Russell was correct.

gonna do Miami after all. booked friday flight so sat/sun. looks like sales aren't strong so stubhub gonna be the move these next couple of days. learned my lesson from last year to not wait until the day before/day of as the better deals happen the week before

That race was a mess with all the tech issues but overall pretty dull. Seems to be the theme.

Vettel in Jeddah doing a karting for women event again. Things have changed like he said with now a female cup in that area and F1 Academy as support series.

Would love to see Vettel join F1 Academy as some kind of advisor or investor, similar role to what David Coulthard does (he did the same with W Series).
