After I unpacked and it took the game three shutdowns I finally got into a Que of 350k. Went pretty quick tho maybe fifteen mins

PC, purchased directly through EA App because I was worried about ****ery with EA's app fighting with Steam. I should have just bought it on Steam because its the only one working.

Tried to open. Says game isnt installed. I check, and there are no files to download because everything is already installed. Can't do anything. Typical EA launch bull*****

I thought Beta rank (capped at 20 i think) was supposed to carry over. just hopped into a quick conquest (less than 1 min on PS5) and it has me at rank 1.

This is terrible. I can't join a liberation peak map for the life of me.

No que for me. Played 3 matches...one was Firestorm and the other two were beta maps so I've yet to see a new map.

I miss the slower paced games. This is just call of duty

stupid questions:

menus are clunky for me. Was able to jump on a friends back while in the menus, but just made an audio party for us two, but kept us together match after match. Is there any other ways where we can hear squad if they are micked up, or is party the only way?

Gunner 1 for tank (not driver), when i pivot the gun, there is a big barrel and a 50cal that move together. R2 on PS5 shoots the 50cal, is there a way I can fire the big?

In friend and my party, audio worked great for 2 conquests, but the next 4 or so it just ended. I could not hear him, he could not hear me. Game glitch? I made sure my headphone mic was on, volume was up, and leveled to game and chat. Anyone else have this?

So is it fun to play or not?

I was a longtime BF fan over Call of Duty and BF1 (the WW I one) was my favorite of all time but I tried 2042 and hated it and literally would spawn and die in the next minute or two somehow every time I played. So I gave up on it but if it could get back to what BF1 was I'd be back in. So what does this one compare to?

I think it is great. I didn't come in until BF4 and loved it. Played some of BF1 that came after it, and a little bit of BF5 after that, but not much. Nobody like BF2042. This is really solid IMO.

Also if you're on PC and have an Nvidia GPU you absolutely need to TURN ON DLSS!!! It is off by default, but my FPS more than doubled with it up to 140-150 on ultra and I run a 4080

Serious question. Should I turn off cross play (I'm PS5) so I don't get smoked by PC/keyboard players? I've read its and advantage against consoles, and before anyone says get better, I'm pretty old

If you find it's too much and you're not hawing fun then yes you should.

Mouse and Keyboard is 1000% an advantage as my K/D in CoD more than doubled when I switched from console to PC

I played all day on PS5 yesterday and had no issues with cross play on. I think the advantage is a bit overblown in a slower game like BF. Super fast paced shooters like Call of Duty it matters a little more.

Right now people dont know the maps and are just running all over the place so it doesn't matter as much. Give it a couple weeks and you'll start getting smoked up more by K&M players.

The EA IDs let us play together regardless of console. I found mine by going to the party screen.

Wouldn't be EA without bugs. Have seen that certain class objectives dont track most of the time. Engineer healing vehicles and support healing teammates has not gone up a single point no matter what I do. Assault and Recon both seem to be working though.

I find the healer that skips is balanced by the downed guy that immediately taps out.

WTF is this game? It doesn't feel like battlefield at all. Where are the huge maps with tons of cool vehicles? The vehicles all feel like an afterthought and the maps are too small for them. I really miss BF4 which was the last great BF game IMO.

I've been playing since BF1942 and this is the first time a BF game has not felt like a BF game. It's like the developers wanted to make COD. It doesn't have that BF soul.

Flying controls are absolute garbage. I dont know why we still dont have offline training mode for flying.
