If I don't click "Accept" in order to access the State's e-filing system, I will harm my clients, torpedo my practice, and probably commit malpractice. So, I have no choice.

I'm clicking "Accept" under protest.

My issue is there's no real punishment. This can go to SCOTUS and get overturned but how does the State get punished for passing these illegal laws? People should be able to sue the **** out of them

That has nothing to do with lawyers who are put in a position to either be unable to serve their clients or live in fear of being prosecuted themselves if they lie by accepting those terms and conditions.

Sorry, I thought your comment was about TX policies regarding illegals. You were referring to CO's law requiring lawyers to swear they won't cooperate with ICE?

Regardless of how inaccurate and ignorant her post was, I agree with all those stipulations. Amnesty for productive immigrants, whether they got here legally or not, is a necessary step for bipartisan support. However, more pragmatically, if we are going to allow fairly easy work access for immigrants to come in and work going forward then what is the point of having those people leave the country just to immediately come back? Giant waste of government money to deport them to begin with.

I don't agree with any of those stipulations. Deport all of those who entered illegally and do it immediately. They have been given plenty of time to self deport. They have been given financial incentives to self deport and get a do-over. Go now.

Salazar also needs to go. She is the Trojan horse representative. Vote her out. Split her district between two other Republicans. Conduct targeted enforcement operations on her staff and donors.

We have totally switched from a sort of equilibrium of needs - what industry needs in terms of labor vs what a socialist regime needs in terms of future voters.

You no longer just have businesses being lax on identification for their contract and temp labor and regulators looking the other way because it's needed... you now have democrats and bureaucrats, who control courts, media, and tech platform monopolies, encouraging, inviting, and incentivizing everyone in the world to waltz on in here if they want free stuff and claim "asylum" simply because they want free stuff. That only happened because the the (former) anti-business and socialist leaning labor and minority 'compassionate' party realized a populist movement made them lose so much support to the point where they can't win elections on their policies and platform anymore. So, they just flooded the country without a single solitary F given for citizens' safety or the ability for tax 'revenue' or the economy to support housing and infrastructure needed. It's a destructive disaster that has us heading towards Venezuela 2.0 where only the political elite socialists can gain from it temporarily before it's all gone.
