Agreed.

Killing Ma or Pa Kent would certainly do the trick.
What if this is secretly a Marley and Me crossover and he kills Krypto?

The more trailers I see the more I am not sure about this. I agree with the post about being suited more for kids.

I could be wrong & I love Superman ; just looks like too much going on

Like with a tornado machine?

I realize it would make for horrible cinema, but if Gunn had Superman save his dad from a tornado and then look at the camera, it would break the Synderbros and be the funniest thing ever.

Fillion also said about his Green Lantern character, "I love the idea that if you have an emergency and you need a Green Lantern there's thousands of them out there in the galaxy this is the last one you want…What is very true about Guy Gardner…is you don't have to be good and pure of heart to be a Green Lantern. You just have to be fearless. You just have to have the will. And Guy Gardner thinks he can take on Superman. That's how fearless he is. No, you can't take on Superman, dude."

The movie will make $50 billion if they have him telling Clark and Lois "I can't go to lunch, my dad is visiting from South Carolina" and Jesse walks in.

He seems like perfect casting more so than anyone else in this film.

Jimmy is in the ship that Lois is flying there. Damn Gideon, trying to be bigger than your Daddy.

Give me the heart that's in this clip combined with a youthfully joyous depiction of Superman that's designed to inspire kids, and I'll take that all day over the Snyderverse depiction of him, no matter how good that may have looked visually.

I'm really starting to like Corenswet, and Cavil could not have looked better in the role, but goddam Reeve IS Superman, and I don't think another actor will ever come as close.

Part of that I think is because Reeve's look, including the costume, hews very closely to the classic Superman look.

Regarding Christopher Reeve, I think everything said is true, but before all of that, I think it comes down to the fact that he was the first cinematic Superman, knocking it out of the park in 1978's Superman: the Movie. Not just as Superman, but even more so as Clark Kent.

This reminds me of a song I heard playing on the radio early summer 1989 before the first Batman movie came out, with lyrics that included "we want our Adam West".

Out of curiosity I looked around that subreddit. They are beyond deranged. It's essentially watching a cult in real time.

It would be one thing if the Snyder movies were all masterpieces, but none of them are that great. These people have real issues.

If I rated my top 10 superhero movies ever, Man of Steel would be in the top 8.

Man of Steel, BvS, and Zach Snyder's Justice League are all better than Superman II - IV and Superman Returns. Maybe not a fair comparison since two of those are not solo Superman movies, but those latter two are still better movies than the original Superman sequels.

I could make a movie with my iPhone sitting on my couch that is better than Superman II-IV.

All true, but still doesn't make them worthy of the veneration given to them by the Snyderbros. That's like saying having herpes is better than having AIDS so we need to worship herpes.

Not arguing the former but I also don't think the latter analogy is valid. Superman II-IV are Leonard Part 6 bad. Not even in the same universe as any of these Snyderverse movies regardless of how bad we think the Snyderverse movies are.

I would liken Superman II-IV akin to Ebola and the Snyderverse movies (minus MoS which is great) akin to the flu.

Agreed. These Synderbros are legit insane. They were good movies, entertaining, but they weren't what I expect out of a Superman movie.

I don't get the recent hate for Superman II, but III & IV fall into that category.

Well, I booted it up a few years ago because I absolutely loved it as a kid. I then discovered it was actually unwatchable. Was frankly a bit shocked how bad it was.
