TC, have you read or heard anything about the studio doing last minute major edits to this movie based on test viewings? Like seriously rearranging the order of some scenes, removing a lot of the comedic bits, changing out one of the film editors, and even having someone new re-edit the film score?

My son was watching a "report" this morning from Youtuber Den of Nerd who was claiming all of this. But of course the claims supposedly came from some anonymous source on a website I'd never heard of. And it appears Gunn has debunked previous Superman reports from this Den of Nerd guy before.

I would be skeptical of Gunn needing or consenting to do that. I'm no insider, but he seems like someone that has the story and his vision set in stone. And he's got a pretty strong track record at telling a story audiences enjoy. Just my two cents.

I know someone very involved with this movie, and I can assure you that hasn't happened. Warner Bros is more than happy with it. They did *add* a composer, which isn't out of the ordinary either, but not one to "re-edit" the score.

I would be wary of any and all negative reports having to do with this movie. Not because they can't be true, but because the Snyder bros are a legit psychotic bunch and have been trying to stir **** up and start rumors about this movie for well over a year now. Sadly, their entire identities rely on this movie failing spectacularly, so they're saying/doing anything to try and make that happen.

Case in point, this movie is going to be completely locked in roughly two days, a whopping six weeks before it hits theaters. If there was any panic whatsoever they'd be working on this thing until the very last minute...

Thanks, and good to confirm. I'm always very suspicious of these Youtube nerds who claim to have "inside sources" on every comic book film production plus claim to be experts in the filmmaking process.

What this guy said wasn't tracking with anything else I've seen about this movie, but I figured I'd see what you'd heard. I would have asked Redstone, but I know he can't give up too much inside intel or he risks outing his real identity and jeopardizing everything he's worked for in Hollywood all these years.

I've confirmed with my sources that the film will reference Bldhaven, Star city, and the labs - Central city.

There will also be references and Easter eggs for those that follow the DCU - most of them reserved for true fans, though a few here will inevitably pick up on some.

I'd also pay close attention to the suit (suits).

"Success" in this particular instance is relatively unique, though. It sounds like that's the number Warner Bros feels would successfully launch the new DCU, which is obviously a massive, additional pressure most movies don't have to deal with. Also, 12 years ago Man of Steel made $670M worldwide, and my guess is Warner Bros needs/wants this to top that so as to not feel like they're backtracking.

But yeah, either way you look at it it's an insane amount of pressure on one movie.

I'd watch the hell out of a Michael Bay Superman movie. I still rank The Rock and Armageddon as the most fun movies of their respective years. Heck, I even like some parts of Pearl Harbor (the airplane parts, that is; the rest of it is garbage).
