Have a client who had never been who went a couple of weeks ago. He did not express any concerns when I talked to him.

We would go back, but like to get in the water so Cabo does not make the short list often.

I was there a couple weeks ago as well. Walked all over town, day and night. Never a concern. I go often.

how was the food?

Food was fantastic! Reservations are pretty tricky to make so just be okay with eating dinner at 10pm at some of the nicer spots. The nicer places are pretty intimate and they open up new blocks of reservations every few days so you just have to watch for times to open up.

Drinks were just okay, but once we found a bartender we enjoyed it improved quite a bit.

On our last night we ate at Maria Dolores which is a Michelin Star restaurant, and is separate from the all-inclusive package. Easily a top 5 meal of my life. Total bill was $200 which was incredibly reasonable for the experience we received!

My wife, daughter and I went to Cancun last weekend. We prebooked a private shuttle to/from our resort in the hotel zone. We left the hotel once to hang out with some extended family one afternoon. Never felt unsafe the entire time we were there.

We used Happy Shuttle and the service was fine. We had to wait about 20 minutes when we arrived, but they were 15 minutes early to pick us up from the hotel to go back to airport.

Survived a week in Mexico City. The most dangerous thing we encountered were the busses. They will run you over if you give them a chance. Seamingly 20+ million cars on the road 24/6 on Sundays all 20+ million are pedestrians in the city's center.

Just picked up a cheap long weekend flight to Cozumel for < 50K miles and $150 for round tip 1st class. I hope I survive.
