Last night in the NY/SF game, a Yankee batter challenged and lost. The next pitch was an egregious missed call (way inside and called a strike) and the batter just walked back to the dugout. I'm not sure why he didn't challenge.

I'm thinking these guys are coached to save the challenges for high leverage situations and to only use a challenge early in games, nobody on base, if it is egregious.

Because Sam Haggerty had a .318 avg an .812 OPS vs lefties last season
