Beautiful complementary baseball. When you have an SP every night that goes 5 - 6 IP with 0-2 runs, you can play this way.
I mean, you don't have to be +100 for the season, you just have to be +1 each game.

Also, pretty much everyone said 87 would get the rangers in the postseason. I don't know how all the tiebreakers would've worked out but they won the season series against cle and det. Lost to Houston. They all had 87.

I looked into it. Apparently the founder wrote a book - "No longer a slumdog." I heard him speak and promote the book a few years ago. Had to look it up... book came out in 2011, which is in line with when we attended the church. He spoke to the mega-church we were members of and I will have to look to see if we actually got one of his books.

IMO, it was a great opportunity.
He seemed fearless. Give him a chance to get his 1st ever MLB W.
I don't think they leave him in, if they were concerned about how he'd handle a Loss.

As bad as this season was, at least we're not Mets fans, for various reasons.
The main reason is their complete collapse over the past few months. One of the highest payrolls in baseball, and they traded away half their minor league roster for a shot at the 'ship this year. Pete Alonso is opting out. They had a career year from Soto, almost in the 40/40 club. Lost 2/3 to the upstart Marlins the last weekend of the season. All they had to do was win one more.
Oh well, on to the offseason.

I don't know what he has to prove in SF. I think he retires, to be honest. This season was a beating: for him, for us, for the players.
If he truly wants to be a legend, he'll stay in Texas and try to win another ring next year with the Rangers.
I'm not sold on that being what I want, though. He'll always be a legend here. I think the longer he stays, the less the fans will love him, barring another championship.
