Heard on KOC's pod yesterday that Allen Graves at Santa Clara is intent on coming in to the draft because he's married and ready to start getting the big bucks.

Great news for the Mavs late first round draft pick. There are going to be some good basketball players available there and we can add another rotation player with the 30th pick.

What's funny is that if he's a late first, he'd probably make more money from a big program in nil than he would in the NBA.

There was a story that yaxel turned down a $7 million nil deal and last year Cedric coward turned down a $3 million nil deal from Duke

True, but you also start the clock on getting closer to your second NBA deal.

I was somewhat hoping he'd come back to college so the Ags could make a run at him. He'd be a great fit for us as a 4 who can shoot, handle the ball, and defend the rim.

Draft Dark Web loves him and thinks he's normally a top 5-10 pick, but he doesn't really show up on any mainstream mocks or big boards.

Now Mikel Brown probably won't play for Louisville unless they make it to next weekend. He's becoming the biggest unknown.

New Orleans upset the Clippers, drops fully below the Mavs. They will be tied with Memphis if when Memphis blows their current lead to Denver.

Memphis managed to hold on. Dallas is alone at #6 at the moment.

Devastating dub for Memphis as Jokic turns it over 10 times haha.

I can't wait for this season to be over. The losing is one thing, but this team is so clunky, doesn't fit together whatsoever, and I think it has started to take it's toll on Coop. He's forcing so much, getting frustrated with refs (and rightfully so), and just looks really down. He's quite frankly been bad outside of a few games since he's come back from injury. I was okay with the losing so long as Coop was good, learning and growing, but I don't think he's doing much of that right now. Let this end lol.

Cade Cunningham with a collapsed lung wow. That's terrible.

Yeah, even tuning in to see Coop play has become less of a priority for me. He's probably hit somewhat of a rookie wall to go along with the mental beatdown of losing and being the guy defenses focus on.

The good news is that everything we have heard about him suggests he'll do all the things necessary in the offseason to fix all the stuff that has him in a slump now. Namely making that shot more respectable and then getting stronger to take those bumps at the rim and finish with contact.

The excitement going in to next season will be palpable with Kyrie and D Live being back (fingers crossed) year 2 Coop, and an early lottery and late first round pick added to the mix. Will make the 3-4 months after the draft and before the season seem to drag on lol.

I'm a bit mixed feeling on this, giving Cooper a really competitive team would be good for him after the second half of this season (also good to see him with a real PG), but I'm also thinking it best to move on from Irving and any other vet that could get younger pieces.

Isaiah Evans has really nice size, length, and athleticism. All his shooting indicators are really good. Would love if he was available late in the 1st.

The Ringer's draft board is up.

They shockingly have Fleming down at 8! Even Burries above him.

He's like if Rob Williams had no hand-eye coordination.

Yeah him at 10 is lol

A really dumb team is going to take him and we'll be like "yep, that makes sense." lol

Look for him to go to Chicago at 9/10 lol

Some of the Ringer guys believe the lack of height and length from the guards is going to come back to haunt a few of them, and that teams will just end up drafting the guy that is 6'8"+ and can guard 1-4 etc.
Vessel

Can we ask that a guy at least be good at basketball if we are going to draft him in the lottery? lol

Quaintance is one of the worst offensive basketball players I've ever had the misfortune of watching. 45% on 84 FTAs in college haha. And he's already extremely injury prone.

I think JQ will/should go back to school. Get a big NIL deal, try again next year in a shallower draft class.

I get the growing sense that unless someone else like Flemings or Wagler also just absolutely ball out, that Acuff could go 4 over Wilson.

Opposite of this conversation is that Flemings in particular needs to have a great tournament, especially offensively. There's a bit of growing concern over what his game will look like at the NBA level. Guys like Acuff, Wagler and even Philon are just heads above Flemings offensively, and when you're under 6'3" or so you need to be dynamite offensively.

Agreed

Flemings is listed at 6'4" while Acuff is listed 6'3".

Flemings is probably actually 6'3" while Acuff is probably 6'1".

And Flemings is also the best defender of the group by a mile.
Tksymm7

For sure on all of that. I'm just saying when you are 6'3" and under in the NBA these days and a major part of a team, I think you have to be a significant offensive contributor to counter the lack of size and what is likely a defensive liability. I say this knowing Flemings is a good point of attack defender at least in college so far.

That's why I like Acuff (obviously) and Philon so much. Because I know they're borderline turnstiles on defense, but at least I know I'm going to get great or elite offensive production. I don't know that with Flemings imo.

He's an absolute monster. He'll be all-NBA first team by his third year at worst.

He and Cooper Flagg are two of the most complete players I've watched at this level. Dybantsa plays with an incredible motor too.

Without Saunders, BYU was hosed. No assists for AJ with all that usage is an extremely telling stat.

I'm dialed in on Wagler now.

Penn is basically doubling Wagler at the point lol

Already 5/2/3. Love that he's the guy that makes it work on one of the best offenses in the country. That step back 3 was smooth.

AJ was 12/32 with 1 assist and 5 turnovers. I know he Durant have much help but he has a bad game imo. I've watched him alot and think he will be 1/1 but he's usually more of a team player.
Vessel
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I'm seeing that he was 12/25. I thought he had a pretty good game given the help he had around him. Without Saunders, there is no spacing for him to drive.

I wasn't too dialed in because of the Ags, but if Swain was guarding him, then it's even more impressive. Swain is big and a good defender.

Pelicans just beat the Clippers on the 2nd night of the back to back.

Pelicans only 9 gams out from taking Golden State's spot in the play-in
