Rumor is Ole Miss has a giant contract on the table for him.

Him talking to LSU and Florida might be a major troll job by him. He could leave them hanging right up to National signing day (Dec 3rd) and then sign the extension. It's what he does.

LSU may have lost him by giving his family a tour of Baton Rouge. LMAO

Or their clown show since firing BK. Especially the part with them not honoring their contract.

LSU and Kiffin are perfect for each other. Both pretty good at FB, but clowns otherwise, and more than willing to f someone royally on a contract. LOL

I thought Ole Miss gave him a deadline of Nov 28th (Egg Bowl) to sign the new contract. I believe OM is off this week, so a chance to maybe get it done.
Rumor is Lane might be waiting for a job that is not open as of yet.

Good point about hoping for a better job than UF /LSU
Lane is always kind of looking at jobs that aren't open

What is the buyout on his current deal ?

I doubt even Lane would troll like that and burn bridges that might be useful in the future.

He wanted LSU wanting him public to help with recruiting.

If he really wanted the LSU job, he would have wanted it private at this time.

"Hey Recruit,

LSU wanted me so they have shown I'm the coach to play for. "

Do you not know Lane's history. He could care less about that one.

That would be the ultimate troll job. String along two rivals and leave them without a coach up to NSD. Then they both miss opportunities for other coaches and have to make hasty decisions. Could take years to recover.

My guess is Lane decided about a week ago he is staying. Everything that is taking place now it to punk their yearly rival.

Ole Miss releasing the ultimatum was also planned.

The new Lane wouldn't do that. Honestly, he has changed drastically in the last 5 years, and he goes into detail about it on the ESPN show about him. I've gained a tremendous amount of respect for the changes he has made to be a better person.

This isn't going to last until NSD....his contract with Ole Miss is no longer on the table November 28th. He has to make a decision before the end of the regular season.

He is going to LSU or Florida, I promise you.

I agree after I thought about it more as far as the timing of him signing.

As I pointed out. I think that's part of his plan. And he is going to sign that day to bring positive attention Nd good vibes prior to the egg bowl.

I don't agree he's leaving. If he were leaving, he would be handling things a little different.

I'm not going to make a silly comment though like, "I promise you!"

How would he be handling it differently? In my opinion the way he is handling it is exactly how someone who is leaving would handle it

Dancing around the question on whether he is staying and not answering it directly

His family has flown to both cities for Florida and LSU to see where they might prefer to live

Ole Miss and Mississippi politicians are publicly shaming him for not committing to them and gave him a deadline to decide or not coach the last game at all (that has never happened)

He would not be flying private jets from LSU for one. He's knows what's there.

There was no report his family was flown to Florida.

Yes it would be, but that's why I feel like it's not…who would troll potential future employers and burn bridges like that in their profession?

I have stated the reasons why he specifically would troll LSU if he's staying at Ole Miss or going to Florida.

He has not made anything public towards any other school.

I covered why in other posts. I'll state it again.

He specifically wants it shown that LSU wanted him.

Why did he fly his family to Florida on Sunday too? And who would make their family fly all over the country for a troll over future potential employers in their profession?

We just disagree and that's fine, one of us will be right here soon

Too much of a public spectacle. It makes zero sense to poke Ole Miss in the eye like this if he really wants out.
