Reta was the first GLP I've tried, but evidently any of them can potentially have the same side effect. Plenty of guys might be able to take it with no such side effect. I just wanted to share that I had this happen to me so that others are aware of it. I'm not even telling people they shouldn't take it or another GLP, because I would try a non-GLP that would help with appetite suppression. I just would want it to not have sexual side effects because that's a pretty big component to maintaining a happy marriage.

Been following along for a few months while researching peptides. Try cagrilinitide for appetite suppression. It's an amylin analog. I take 600mcg on the fourth day after my weekly tirzepatide shot. It is kind of like phentermine was for me twenty years ago but without the stimulant jitters.

I saw a discussion about Reta shutting down desire for anything. That means food, alcohol, social interaction, sex, etc. I didnt experience that but lots of folks report they did. I only did 1mg a week for 10 weeks, one vial so I doubt the last week was very effective, lost about 8 lbs.

I am about to do 2mg/week for the next 10 weeks, via two 10mg vials and call it good. I never wanted to stay on any of it permanently, just hopefully as a way to get back in the right path.

Been on it for about 5 weeks. Have only noticed the food part, sex and alcohol desire still normal. Not exactly the most social person around, but haven't noticed anything changing there. Had tried Ozempic a few years ago and feel that it was much more aggressive in the loss of appetite area and I had more stomach side effects. Reta has been pretty easy to tolerate. Have been doing .5mg every third day. Down around 8lbs when I weighed on Tuesday. Don't weigh every day.

I also plan to use it as a jump start. Have started working out more and trying to reset habits with it's help. So far, I am pretty happy with the results on that plan.

Hey guys, I asked MosesHallEnforcer this offline, but I wanted to ask here as well to cover all my bases...

I'm starting to dig in pretty deep on peptide therapy for numerous goals, and I would like to see if I could find a doctor that can order/review blood work for me on a regular basis (maybe quarterly) and provide me with feedback on any trends, changes, etc. that they may see for hormones and other markers. I don't need (or necessarily want) them to prescribe or treat anything, I just need someone trained to look over blood work and tell me if things look good, bad, trending a certain way, etc.

Does anyone know of a doctor in the greater Austin area that would fit this bill? Or if not in the area, a doctor that can do this virtually/online?

I'd also like to give a big shout out to MosesHallEnforcer. He has been super helpful and patient with all of my questions as I start out on my peptide journey. He is a great resource.

I've been running a BPC/TB and tesamorelin/ipamorelin protocol for 3 weeks now to try to heal some pretty severe tendonitis issues in my right elbow & bicep. It has already improved a lot and I can do things easily that used to cause a lot of pain, and I'm very optimistic for further improvement as I run out the rest of the 8 weeks.

If you want hormones analyzed, find a urologist that treats hormones, mine in Houston is Dr Ekeruo.
If you want broad panel bloodwork I recommend you leverage your primary care physician and tell them why you want periodic bloodwork taken and I would guess they would support ordering labs for you periodically, but might require visits in association to review and discuss the numbers. In Houston I use Dr Jennifer Garrison.

Thanks guys! Glad there is some interest and people are taking these steps for their health and longevity. I started this journey 2 years ago and it's been truly life changing and I'm passionate and will help however I can.

I just got off a call with my performance coach and we went over my latest bloodwork, and my wife and I both improved in so many areas, and we're both on cloud 9.
So, if done right and properly you can fix so many issues with dialed in hormones, and using peptides strategically.

Highly encourage everyone to get Dexa scans and bloodwork regularly. We just started doing bloods through rhythm online. It was like $70 and they sent a kit and did at home blood draw (super easy) we had results back in 2 days.

Thanks to Moses, I found a new addiction. I love researching these things (and taking them). I asked my doc back in October, and he told me that peptides were a fad and to stick with the Tirzepatide. GLP's were the reason I started searching for more information on peptides. Now I have my wife, in-laws, and some coworkers jumping in and trying out peptides. Helps that I went from 310 in October to my current weight of 249. I have put on some good muscle mass while loosing which has been awesome.

As far as bloodwork, I started getting monthly testing done thru, https://www.privatemdlabs.com/
Definitely, get labs before jumping into GH secretagogues, or anything that bumps testosterone. They will compare with your previous labs helping understand the numbers, ranges, etc. They let you book the test at any Quest/LabCorp through them when you pay.

I am all for the easy labs, but to get started I think I would like a full-on analysis and a doctor to go over everything with me until I feel comfortable reviewing labs myself.

I found this place in Round Rock, and while this seems expensive, I wouldn't be against it for a first-time baseline analysis. Any thoughts or insight on this lab panel ($559) plus a DEXA ($99)? Is that a ridiculous price for a complex lab panel?

Dexa price is fine, but that's a little high for labs in my opinion. I started with privatemd which like $200 ish for a full men's panel.

Then switched to rhythm and get the same panel for $70, and results super quick.

Privatemd took like 10 days to get my results in.

Yeah, I guess some of the extra cost can be attributed to the consultation after the blood work, although there's no guarantee on how useful or in-depth that would be.

I had Claude build some connections to Apple Health, Withings (my scale and blood pressure monitor), Peloton, and Hevy (my lifting app) via API (it walked me through how to do it), it knows my dosages of peptides, my blood work, and my supplements.

Pretty amazing what it can put together. It made the appointment with my doctor to explain how I had lost 50 pounds and had dramatically transformed blood work a bit easier. She was not happy I was doing gray market peptides but when I showed her everything I was tracking and how it corresponded to the peptides she at least said she was glad I was tracking things well.

(Example would be visceral fat from a Dexa scan and GH and IGF-1 levels while taking Tesamorelin)

I have been using Ways2Well for a year and a half. They do their blood draw and labs through Quest Diagnostics. Before I did my consult with W2W, I uploaded my Quest lab report into Copilot and asked for suggested supplements based upon any deficiencies in my blood work. Copilot's response was very similar to what the W2W nurse practitioner suggested I take. Actually, I found Copilot better because it was easier to ask follow up questions. It definitely helped me prepare for the consult so I came with questions. Only problem is Copilot (AI) cannot write prescriptions… at least not yet.

That's good to hear. BloodGPT that I linked above is $10 per month, but it's 70% off if you pay for a year at a time, so that's less than $40 for the year. I don't need it to write me any scripts, I plan on acquiring my own therapies. I just need the blood work part.

Had my endoscopy/colonoscopy today and the anesthesiologist asked if I had ever considered tirzepatide. I'm 5'11 204lbs, so while a bit pudgy for my frame, I was kind of shocked when he brought it up.

He also said that people on all the GLPs need to not take it for about a week before a procedure.

Yep, same with BPC as well. It needs to be stopped a week before surgery.

I have a whole pre and post surgery peptide and supplement protocol I saved for my father in law from a presentation.

I was considering trying BPC, but in my research, I found that there is some risk of accelerated tumor growth while taking BPC. Is that a significant risk for someone that has no known tumors?
bthotugigem05
How long do you want to ignore this user?
AG
I don't think the risk is specifically about that (similar to TB-500), but the logic is that both of those work (in different ways) by drawing more blood to injured sites. Tumors grow by creating blood vessels to feed their growth, so it's just a general thought that they shouldn't be run continuously in general, or at all if there's a history of cancer.

How do yall get the bloodwork done? Just show up at Labcorp and have them do it?

Gotta get a GP or endo to write you for it? I think my insurance covers it if a doctor says to get it, what if I just show up? BCBSTX PPO - so really good insurance. Or go through MDLIVE? Will they order it?

Have you already done your annual physical? If not, do that and then tell the doctor all of the additional tests you want added. I've done this multiple times and other than a weird comment asking if I take steroids for wanting my GGB levels run (I don't) they haven't ever pushed back. Just have to pay out of pocket for additional tests.

Whenever I go to my doc I ask her to write all of it up for me, but if there's anything she doesn't write there are plenty of testing websites that will write up whatever referral you want and you just go to Quest or whoever and get it done there.

I get bloodwork done twice a year free through my employer. Does 44 markers. I've been wanting to do something more extensive and am doing it through whoop. If anyone else uses a Whoop tracker they have a deal through Quest Labs where test are 150 each. Does 65 biomarkers plus a couple others you can order. Results upload right to your Whoop app and you have access to a doctor to see what you can do to improve markers and everything else you can think of. Can upload old labs in it as well to see how your improving or regressing or what not. It's pretty dang slick

On a side note it's pretty crazy how my numbers have improved since I've been on my Reta journey. Outside of LDL being slightly elevated (way lower than it used to be) everything is perfect. Gonna run it one more month then take 6 weeks off and see how I do. Currently down 22 pounds almost to goal weight.

Starting a GHK-CU journey for sun damage and what not and loving it so far

Once I'm done with my Tesamorelin/Ipamorelin cycle, I'm going to consolidate down to:

Retatrutide - 6-8mg
GHK-CU - 2mg 3x weekly after lifting
MOTS-C - 3.33mg 3x weekly before Peloton rides
KPV - 1mg daily

I have some Epitalon and NAD+ to get through as well but haven't really experienced much from them, probably won't run them again. I thought about running Pinealon in the morning and Epitalon in the evening but not sure yet.

Started Retatrutide in January and am down 40 pounds, with very little muscle loss. Need to refeed for a week or so but the combo of Reta + Tesa/Ipa has been pretty amazing for my blood numbers.

Next blood panel is later this month and next Dexa scan is later in April, really interested in my visceral fat number, as that was elevated in my last scan.

We just ran both pinealon and Epitalon at night. They are once a year kind of things. Epitalon is great for longevity, supposedly increases telomere length. Both are suppose to help with circadian rhythm.

NAD+ you should just use as needed. Like if you got back from a long flight, or had a few too many drinks the night before etc. You will definitely notice it if you're dragging a little.

It's just so expensive with Tesa. I know a bunch of people do CJC/Ipa for the expense reason. My visceral fat numbers were huge so I needed the Tesamorelin dosage that's FDA-approved. 12-week cycle was a thwack to the wallet but oh well.
