Verde Garden closing, sounds like they are changing the concept. Owners of it own that whole development.

Not what I was trying to say...obviously there are worse areas in Houston alone. Is this the nicest store in proximity to a violent ghetto or can someone think of a better example?
There have been numerous cartel/gang related homicides within 3/4 mile from there in the last few years. And those are the apartment streets off of Shepherd (Oak Street etc). Then you have Acres Homes to the direct north. And independence heighte not far to the SE.
I just found it to be an interesting location. Great parking lot for strong arm robberies on unsuspecting yuppies. Tell your wives to keep heads on swivels.

The HEB on 288 at McGregor would like a word.

The new Chilaquiles place on 11th (formerly Berryhill and 1891) is quite good. Big emphasis on authentic ingredients. I had the Chilaquiles Bandera which came with three different sauces and they were all tasty. Hopefully they can make it longer than 1891 did.

In other news, my wife and I hit up Texadelphia on Sunday evening.
There was one person when we got there at 5:45.
She left and we were the only ones there from 6:00 to 6:30. Didn't see any to go orders either.
Can't imagine that place lasting long. It's just a cursed location. Food was fine.
We did get to watch the final five minutes of the Duke/UConn game so that was exciting.

Yep. Much more likely to be another apartment tower.
