My son goes to Stratford (and a daughter will soon) but I'll give credit where credit's due. It was hilarious when, a few years back, those memorial a-holes shoe polished a bunch of cars with "too poor for 024."

Stratford and Spring Woods need to form an alliance and keep these little Hedwig Hamas maggots within their little Elysium sectors. Don't let them cross I-10 or Beltway 8. (Sorry, took an edible to chill but think it was sativa so I'm creative and full of energy)

Serious question, do Memorial kids **** talk to Northbrook or Spring Woods kids?

For a typical conservative Aggie family, which high school do you think kids and parents would be happier at?

All I know is that Tully Stadium was awesome back in the day.
Every now and then a thread like this one comes back to life, and I read the whole thing without remembering any of it.
Then I see a brilliant comment and I think to myself, "Damn, I totally agree with that statement!"
Only to realize I was the one who posted it.
ETA: My high school had the honor -- or misfortune -- of being the only non-Spring Branch school in District 17-4A, I believe it was. So we had as many games at Tully as we did at home.
My year…. Ancient history ago. A&M was the more popular choice. Plenty of Memorial folks attend A&M. Plenty attend Texas as well.TexasAggie81 said:pdawg10384 said:

A lot of Memorial kids to tu and Baylor. It's kind of the mentality of Memorial. The school with its own parking garage on Echo Lane wins a lot of country club sports. I would think the pressure would be tough on kids who aren't in the right circles. Stratford has more regular kids in a good school that does a lot more dual credit with community colleges.

Not sure I agree that Stratford has more regular kids or that pressure is more at memorial. There are good kids and bad kids at both schools. As a parent and as a kid, finding "your group of friends " is important.

Oh, if we are splitting hairs, Memorial likely has more trust fund kids than Stratford. By how much? Don't know. But, in terms of vibe, Memorial has one step further into the country club than Stratford does (metaphorically speaking).

I was surprised to see the Kroger (at Echo and Gaylord) get shutdown for underperformance given its proximity to MHS. Are there any plans for that space?
