Yeah, CD's drop rate is 10%. GPs is 2%. Passer rating when targeting CD is 80. Passer rating when targeting GP is 135. In the Eagles game, they targeted CD 11 times and connected on 4. GP was 9 for 9.

Maybe so..I just know what my eyes see. There have been drives in every game where they feature CD and the drives stall. Then it almost seems like a conscious decision to feature Pickens on the next drive and they sustain and score.

Dallas has done a lousy job managing the cap unless they are trying to win the Lombarto and Lombarto CPA LLP trophy vs the Lombardi trophy. This "they are in cap hell" story has been done about Philly multiple times in the past 10-15 years, yet they have 2 Lombardi trophies to show for it.
When you have a good qb, treat it like the US govt treats the deficit. Pay talent, restructure however you must to push $$$ out over and over, and then count on the ever-growing salary cap to bail you out because it will. A different form of "time is money". Worst case scenario once your qb is done and you're tapped out, have a reset year where you eat crazy dead money. Then rinse and repeat.

At some point you have to go for two. If you wait until after the second score and you don't get it, and you've coached the game as if you only needed one more score, the game is over.
Alternatively, if you go for it after the first score and fail to convert you now know you need the ball twice instead of once and can plan accordingly.
Again, it's about obtaining the most important piece of information as early in the game as possible to maximize your chances of winning. Its absolutely the right call.
