No idea what to expect tonight.

If I'm leaning one way, I would say this could be a game like the Tampa opener in '22. Lost 19-3, Dak got banged up, and we got NOTHING going all game long. Wasn't a blow out loss, but we lost the physical battle all night. (That also turned out to be a decent Cowboys team that kicked the crap out of Tampa in the wild card and very likely beats the 49'ers if Pollard doesn't get hurt).


But on the other hand, I'm optimistic that Schotty will get this offense moving through the air and we will have some exciting moments and it will be a winnable game.

Good thoughts. Hopefully we see some stuff from Pickens and the passing game that can give us hope that we should have a shot in every game based on how good the offense is.

No idea what to expect from the defense. Hopefully Diggs and Bland can get back to forcing enough turnovers to change games and Williams/Ezeiraku/Fowler can get a serviceable pass rush.

I think we're for sure losing tonight, but I don't think it'll be a very high scoring affair and we'll probably cover the spread. Strictly just because it's the first game of the season and both teams will be as rusty as it gets.

Pickens biggest issue is keeping a cool head while on the field. Most of his antics have been someone also doing something stupid to him and him retaliating.

Their offense doesn't seem like one that would be susceptible to much rust. Let Barkley run for 200yds against our mediocre run D and then Hurts hits several long ones on play action

I had read that he probably wasn't going to have a major impact on and in the offense to begin the season, so throw his ankle issue into the mix and I'm not all that surprised he's not active.
