1. That's not your decision. An AR is significantly easier to use accurately than is any caliber of hand gun. My 75 year old mother who hates guns is better off with an AR than a 9mm. Simple truth.

I have no problem with the government preventing civilians from getting mass lethal weapons. There is no need to have them. Every self defense scenario can be solved with a handgun.

The shocking thing is how much terminally online conservatives are ok with murder under the pretense of "he was carrying a weapon" simply because (it's assumed) the individual murdered is on the "other side". But frankly, at the moment he got shot the first of 11 times while being pinned down by 6 federal agents, he had been disarmed, and at not point did he offer any real resistance or threaten anybody. And let's be clear now, the man that was executed by your average online civil war forum poster was an ICU nurse at the VA hospital with no criminal history. It's literally the reason the Second Amendment exists. Literally. There's no serious constitutional scholar that debates that point. Marxists have a history of disarming people. See Lenin and Mao and Stalin and Castro.

Nothing you've said here makes even a little bit of sense. With this post you've shown a complete lack of understanding of the Constitution and what motivated the Founders. The first amendment protects our right to speak out against the government. The second amendment allows us to defend that right and all the others. It's second for a reason.
