So up front, I've made the executive decision to award points to the members of Kalo for winning both the immunity challenge and the reward challenge, given that it was such an epic reward, and seemed to be truly a fantastic time for all of them. So if, you have Aubry, Joe, Coach, Genevieve, Crissy, Colby, or Tiff, you're getting +2 for the immunity win and +2 for the reward, as there was no second place reward and they obviously all wanted it really badly - more on that later.

Several people scored double digits tonight, none more impressive than the 1-2 punch of Cheese Sndwch and Triumph Forks, who are right next to each other on the spreadsheet and each racked up 15.5 points. Forks was our leader after Episode 1, and much like Steve Winwood, is back in the high life again, taking the lead with 47 points. Cheese is right on his tail with 44 points. Standings below. As always, if you see a scoring discrepancy, just let me know. I was a liberal arts major at A&M. These things happen.

Genevieve practically lapping the field now with 15 points through 4 episodes.

Mike White crashes out with -6 this episode and -4.5 for the season. The only person with fewer points is Jenna, who was at -6 when she went home first.

Emily, who got the biggest insult of her life tonight when Mike White referred to her as a "cougar" despite the fact that she's 31, is everything Thanos dreamed of in the universe, currently with zero total points for the season. Perfectly balanced.

Interesting that Christian decided that he valued a relationship with Emily over Mike, Angelina, and Ozzy. Seems like the type of big move that puts the target on his back, if we don't get another tribe swap. He's certainly been the main character so far this season, so I wonder if he will make it to the merge or flameout beforehand.

Like Quinn said, I think Christian might be overplaying his hand and soon meet his fate. But one of my two biggest takeaways from last night was that Mike White deserved that. True or not, gamesmanship or not, that was a pretty s**tty thing he said to Christian about his gameplay last time with Gabby vs. this time with Emily. Glad Christian made that move.

My other biggest takeaway from last night is that if the Orange team had just held its arch up, given the combined factors of Zac Brown's good looks, guitar playing, spear-fishing ability (more on that in a moment), the copious amounts of alcohol on hand, and Dee's very particular reaction to everything about the reward challenge, despite the fact that he's engaged to zillionaire Kendra Scott, Zac Brown probably could have been the first C&W singer to have sex at the sanctuary with a contestant yesterday. Dee looked ready to hook that up during the leadup to the challenge.

I'm not sure if it was intentional, but I had to laugh at Zac Brown talking about communing with nature and the underwater beauty while at the same time unleashing the spearfishing version of "Painless" that Jesse Ventura and Duke use in Predator to kill the fish. Christ, he looked like he could have shot a whale with that thing.



When Genevieve found the 2nd Billie Eillish idol, I wondered if she would consider also sending it to Ozzy. Since he can't give it away, I thought it could have been a good gambit. What are the odds he would be able to use both of them before getting blindsided?

Despite the blue tribe not being my favorite, it was cool seeing them really appreciate the experience with ZB, from the meal to the tunes. Coach remains a legend at making everything about himself "I've had fresh fish all over the world, obviously", but especially he and Joe and Colby had some real legit "appreciating this stage of life" moments and looks that were great to see.

And they let Tiff talk!

Not an original thought here, but feels like everyone from Cila and Kalo is going to coast into the merge unless they somehow dredge up an immunity challenge that is all about brainpower. Getting rid of Q might have been smart game play, but now Stephenie and Ozzie have to carry a bunch of deadweight in physical stuff. Those dummies could barely get to the boat, meanwhile Jonathan's picking the thing up by himself and throwing it onto the beach.

Christian made a huge mistake. I don't even disagree with Mikes parallel with Gabby. My wife actually said that out loud a second before they showed Mike saying it. Emily is a complete loose cannon. After she blabbed her mouth a second time (to Christians detriment) I can't believe he stuck with her in the end. Really wish he just would have went with the plan to get Emily out.

Also, can we get a point any time Jonathan exhibits a feat of superhuman strength during a challenge? What an absolute beast.

Yeah, Emily is a strange player. She just can't bring herself to trust anyone and it makes her incredibly unpredictable. Just a wishy-washy player with a seemingly complete lack of awareness. After last week, he should have known not to trust her with any delicate information. Even though Mike was a threat, I think Christian would have been better off voting Emily out first. With Ozzy mad now, Christian is in a bit of a predicament, but if anyone can figure a way out it would be him.

Agree about Jonathon. Some guys are built but aren't really all that strong. That dude is built like Hercules, and it's not just looks. He has pure strength, and a lot of it.

Charlie, and I'm pretty sure it leads to his downfall, is taking shots at Rizo everywhere. Which I would be too. And, since it went nowhere this week, means it likely will next. They don't "previously on" us for nothing.

It's also pretty obvious that if you're here from a season that hasn't aired yet, you must be here for a reason, goodbye.

The only time it worked, and it's because she had a cheat code, was Parvati and Russell on Heroes v Vilains. She was hanging around on that set as a bestie of the casting director, knew everything there was to know about Russell, which no one else did, and used it like a charm,

What killed Vatu in the challenge was not having someone in front of the boat lifting up the net. They briefly showed both other tribes had someone doing this. Vatu was behind by the time they got to the beach, but it ended up being a lack of brain power and not strength that caused them to stall.

It was a good episode IMO. Emily continues to show why she has to go next. If I had to pick one on each tribe I'm rooting for it's Christian, Rizzo, and Colby.

They kept going on about that reward.

They used to give away cars. And these really cool experiences with locals. And other stuff.

I'm praying Rizzo doesn't try any of his theatrics with his idol the first time he goes to tribal. A cast of former players feels like they'll eat him alive.

It was funny that Christian mentioned that's why Ozzy wanted to buddy with him.

Feels like a bait and switch for we the viewers on how many people are obsessed with getting RizGod out as seen further in the new sneak peak. Seen here, normal sized human Rick Devens next to the Thor of Gulf Shores.

Obviously, something had to come to a head with Charlie and Rizo. I actually like his game, but Cirie is 9 steps ahead of him saying "I'll dispose of you later baby boy."

That was the more interesting vote, so I'm not sure why they chose to spend more time on the less interesting Angelina vote out.

And lord knows they're setting up something with Coach , bc I guess they just needed to show that whole tribe even existed for a day?

I both never want to see a Zac Brown level of promotion again, but it's definitely reached a point that it's like girl, show up to the island and do some work, even if it's fake work.

Also Rizo has to be one of the most annoying little pawns in the game. Dude gets carried everywhere and then acts like he is greatness personified.

Well, compiling the points gave me a much-needed long laugh this week.

I'll say this to everyone now: If you got positive points this week, you should be THRILLED.
Eighteen out of 30 people got a negative score this week thanks to the double tribal.
Fortunately, nobody had picked both Angelina and Charlie, but it was still rough sledding. Much like in Survivor, you can have extreme highs and lows in a short period of time - last year's champ SZ becomes the first contestant to hit a double-digit negative with -10 this week.

The high score belongs to caleblyn with FOUR. Yes Four points got you the biggest tick up in your game.

The biggest losers on the show this week:

Angelina: -7! -1 for losing the challenge, -5 for getting voted off pre-merge, -1 for spelling Stephenie's name wrong.
