I kind of feel like he wrote the lines for Skyler.

On the flip side I actually love the wife/daughter comedy relief. I just can't help but smile and laugh any time they are on screen. The lawyer and the son's girl though....just kill them off already and start over.

The idea that Tommy walked into Ricks and found a solo stripper, in the middle of the day, that was honest/not obviously on drugs/took a chunk of cash and didn't disappear with it AND showed up and spent way more time than she agreed to, was a bit of a stretch.

Don't know if they are building up to the off shore rig beating the odds & hitting it big, or if Tommy is going to be out of work in a year.

The last two episodes, while funny at times, have been horrible overall. Too many sides quests and not enough main story missions. Other than the drill or no drill decision for that gas in the ocean to save or tank the company, and what to do with the six wells that the tech tard lucked into finding, the plot is seriously lacking.

Agreed. My wife asked "why does Taylor Sheridan have to make all his women characters so stupid." The female lawyer unloaded on the guy lawyers (we're only in S1 Ep5 or so) and redeemed at least that character.

He peaked with Season 1 Beth Dutton.

Faith Hill's character in 1883 was about the only normal relatable woman main character he's had in a series. The rest have all been whacky or emotional wrecks..

My wife and I were laughing our asses off a few episodes ago when Cooper tells his broke widowed girlfriend with a baby that he struck oil and was potentially going to have $100 million a year in income and the girl dumps him because she can't handle the pressure.

He's pretty good in Lioness as well! Just the right amount of toughness and comedic value.

He and Sheridan must be tight. That guy has been in Wind River, Yellowstone, Landman, Lioness, etc. Problem is I don't like him in anything after seeing his character in Wind River. I know he's an actor but he played the part in Wind River just a little too realistic. Maybe I'm just overly critical seeing things through colored glasses as a father with a daughter. He is a decent actor.

So Cooper rolls the dice and hits on 6 of 6 wells which would have made him hundreds of millions of dollars and his Daddy takes them away from him and says we'll give you a job for $100,000 a year and Cooper says ok and doesn't rage like a maniac?

I would be in court doing everything I could to get that money if I did the work and wasn't getting the payoff. Doesn't seem credible

Scared him shirtless about being in bed with the cartel.

What they haven't mentioned is how scamming his son out of 6 wells probably covers a lot of the risk on the ocean rig
