Takes me back to the old CNNsi message boards in the 1990s. I was permabanned on several occasions for referring to the proprietor as Ted Turner-Fonda. Mods over there had no sensahumor, I tell you.

I had to discard several of my Cletus the Slack-Jawed Yokel themed user names after the banhammer fell, hence the birth of YokelRidesAgain.

About 25 years ago, at a private business function, Ted Turner was the guest speaker. He was awesome. After the talk, several people went up to him to express their thanks. I'll never forget walking up to him and calling him 'Mr. Turner.' He immediately responded, 'Please call me Ted.'
