I knew if I closed my eyes for a second I'd miss a commitment! BUT WELCOME MAIJA MORTENSEN!

She's a 6'4 Middle Blocker from Draper, Utah where she attends Corner Canyon High School and plays club for South County. She was recently selected as a member of the USA U17 National Team. Only one of 14, and only one of three middles selected to represent the US in Chile. She's a multi year member of the United States Youth Development Team. She led her team to a state championship and she was first team all state as a sophomore.

She's ranked 14th on Volleyball Adrenaline, 17th on Prepdig. Her aggregate must be down because one site has her really low.

She has elite size and an elite swing that's almost unstoppable at the net. She's a terror for opposing hitters when she's on defense. Her reach and vertical make it nearly impossible to hit over. She's a true game changer at the net. Her potential is through the roof and there's a reason she's making youth national teams and that her stock continues to rise.

With her size and athleticism this early on in her career, it's no doubt she will become an elite all American level type middle blocker here at Texas A&M. This is a huge pick up. Her older sister plays and starts for BYU and she was a lock to Wisconsin according to their fans. Wisconsin is known for going after and landing elite taller middles. Her mom Nina was an all American middle blocker at BYU and is in the BYU Athletics Hall of Fame. The fact that we took her away from those two programs says a lot. When she steps foot on campus as a freshman, middles Kaia Castle and Eliza Sharp will be on their final year of eligibility so she will get to learn from some great people and players as well as flourish under our staff. It's a big signing for Aggie Volleyball.

After our strong recruiting class in 2027 which features two top ten players. This 2028 class will be special as well. We showed the volleyball world what we're made of as we hoisted that trophy in Kansas City, this recruiting shows we're here to stay… get used to the maroon and white volleyball world

In the composite rankings, Nebraska gets players ranked 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Tu gets players 1st, 7th, and 8th and they believe they're still in the hunt for Ogbogu.

They usually do this year after year, makes our national championship even sweeter. We won with 3 highly ranked recruits Kyndal Stowers, Megan Fitch, and Kirra Musgrove, and only one of those regularly seeing the floor. Lednicky and Cos-Okpalla were by some services not even top 100 recruits. We took down some elite blue bloods.
