That should boost USC spirits for the tournament.
Should be home run fest and Moss doesn't make it past the third. TS can slug with AGs.

So is simms done??

Clearly, he's not been 100% shut down if he threw 25 pitches on Thursday; alternative I guess is Earley is flat-out lying right to the media.
I'm guessing we try to pick a spot to use him this weekend.
The bookies may disagree, but I have no problem with him lying to the media. There's no need for teams in our regional to know if he is or isn't pitching. USC might not have saved Edwards if they knew he was out.
Aiden Sims re-aggravated his arm issue during a bullpen session as he was working his way back to game action.

He’ll likely need surgery to get the issue cleaned up but should return during the fall.
In other words, it’s not a Tommy John operation. https://t.co/9mHOt29Xfm

Sims is 100% fine btw. This matchup played perfectly for us to use Moss today. When he's on, he will keep the ball on the ground with his change up movement. This also allows Lyons to rest up so he can pair up with Sims tomorrow like he always does. Sims is healthy.

If it's against DeCaro you might think about holding him for Game 2 while hoping you can bash your way to a victory in Game 1. But if he goes 6 of 2 run ball and you lose 2-1 to a great starter on the other team it'll really hurt.LB12MEEN said:
Great start by Moss.
If we are in a SR, he's obviously starting game one.
Here's to Darden having a solid start today and solidifying himself as the game two starter in the SR.

High likelihood that you are right. I just think it's a discussion that you have to haveLB12MEEN said:
I'm not going to debate you. I just don't like the idea of having to bash to win against another teams number one. Just thought throwing yourbest was baseball 101.

Playing to win in baseball means winning 2 of 3. It doesn't mean winning one. Moss vs DeCaro might give you the best chance to win Friday, but might put you in a worse spot for games 2 & 3, especially if you don't take Game 1.LB12MEEN said:
I play to win. Never been one to play not to lose.
Anyway, I'm not a pitching guy so I will leave for others to discuss further

I mean, no one is surprised by this are they? For the last 3 weeks you had to believe him throwing significant innings was a long shot
