bottomline...the Ags need to score at least 6 runs in every game
maybe 7 maybe 8 to feel good about winning
I'm thinking more than 7 or 8
We're gonna have to go double digits ever single game if Sims is done

He is and we're in trouble. If he isn't pitching tonight, he's done.

Sims is 100% fine btw. This matchup played perfectly for us to use Moss today. When he's on, he will keep the ball on the ground with his change up movement. This also allows Lyons to rest up so he can pair up with Sims tomorrow like he always does. Sims is healthy.

If Sims was ready to go why would you even think about Moss? Sims has been your only reliable starter all season. You win first two and you avoid the extra game.. Its not rocket science.

Why? I understand it's a better offense in Texas State, but you get the chance to save your ace for a game 3 potentially against Texas State again. He's coming off tightness, an extra day won't ever hurt.
Much of this is because of inane coaching decisions however. There's a huge difference between getting pulled after 3 because you're getting shelled and being pulled after 3 because there's an infield single and an error and your coach panics.Goose06 said:
He lasted 3 innings or less in each of his last 2 starts. Not exactly what we need right now. He was much stronger in the middle of the SEC slate from Vandy through Auburn. Hopefully he returns to that form.
absolutely. The Saturday winners bracket game is the most important one. Win it, and at most you play 4 games. Lose it and you have play 5 to win. We don't have enough pitching for 2-3 so getting through 5 would be a borderline miracle.dermdoc said:

Sims also hasn't pitched in a game since 5/9, when he was lifted during the 3rd. Health is a spectrum, not 0 or 1.
Clearly, he's not been 100% shut down if he threw 25 pitches on Thursday; alternative I guess is Earley is flat-out lying right to the media.
I'm guessing we try to pick a spot to use him this weekend.
The bookies may disagree, but I have no problem with him lying to the media. There's no need for teams in our regional to know if he is or isn't pitching. USC might not have saved Edwards if they knew he was out.RED AG 98 said:

That should boost USC spirits for the tournament.
Should be home run fest and Moss doesn't make it past the third. TS can slug with AGs.
