I'm also a bit concerned about Sims.

If he's going to play a major role in a regional, much like Freshcorn and Moss against Auburn, I would've wanted him to throw a few pitches last night.

i.e., When he takes the mound in Regional, it'll be almost 4 weeks since he's been on the mound, it's very possible that he might not be very sharp.

When I pitched, I was not very good when I'd had that much rest / time off.

Thing is, we don't really know how short the post season will be. Look at Ol Miss in 2022. They finished the regular season losing a series to the Aggies, giving up 22 runs in two blowout losses and then going one and out in the SEC tournament, before winning the CWS.

I know it's human nature to think the worst after a game like this. I'm no exception. But this is baseball.

It is baseball and if we had some guys with great stuff who were just struggling, I would have hope, but as has been said by others, we have a bunch of soft throwing guys without any stuff. Even if they pitch their best, they just are t talented enough to compete with other good teams.

Lord I hope not. Had them in my elbow by soph year at OU. They are very debilitating. Had them removed as soon as the season ended and wasn't right until midway through the following spring. I also had some cartilage damage so that probably increased the duration, but bone spurs suck.

Earley and Kelly have put us in a position to win absolutely nothing this postseason. Their roster construction and development of the pitching staff are disgraceful.
