Nm I read that wrong. You're right that there shouldn't be a distinction between domestic and foreign professional leagues, but there is a clear distinction between prospective and returning players.

I know you're right, but I want to dream! Also I hope every sec team gets the memo and just boos him every second he touches the ball like we did with Brandon Miller
I really don't understand this take. Why boo the kid. Go to Indy and boo the NCAA for their ineptitude.
It's not like the kid was on the Spurs playing legit minutes and then Oats calls him up looking for reinforcements.
He spent a couple of miserable years riding buses in the G-League, got no run at all in any NBA games, then went back to Bama to get his degree. Gets to Bama and the idea of playing ball there comes up and now they are challenging it.
By the logic of "boo all guys with professional experience" I guess we should be booing Dominguez? Or the nuance in the Euro ball vs. G-League experience makes that much of a difference for you all?
Also, the opening tweet is awful, makes him look like a super villain.

He played in a G-League game last weekend.
I do not think this is a situation where he went back to Bama to get his degree and then had a lightbulb moment and wanted to rejoin the basketball team.
It sounds like he went back to Bama for the sole purpose of doing that, was not allowed to, and is exploiting a legal loophole from a homer judge.
Seems pretty whack.
Today's AP Poll is out. A note on my ballot: I did not rank Alabama this week.

I will not rank a team that has to circumvent the rules through a court order just to win (and still lost). To me, that's a team admitting its own weakness.
You can personally impact the NCAA’s most contentious eligibility case of the week in the funniest way. 😂 https://t.co/6rCkv1ZaQb pic.twitter.com/ZbqXzDY7FN

There are already some pros playing in the Olympics, baseball, hockey, bobsledding, etcl; the Soviet Union played their "pro" hockey team (the Red Army Team) for years during the Olympic games.

Is he enrolled at Bama or are we past the point of pretending that matters?
It’s only been 2 games, but Charles Bediako reminds me of former Alabama player Charles Bediako.

BREAKING: Tuscaloosa Circuit Court Judge James Roberts has recused himself from the Charles Bediako case at Alabama, source tells Hoops HQ. NCAA had petitioned for recusal after reports that Roberts was a donor to Alabama. @hhqsports

I'm curious as to why you believe being a pro first is a notable distinction?
My logic is pretty centered around the idea that either all pros are eligible or no pros are eligible. I'd prefer no pros are eligible, but that's not the world we have right now.
Dominguez is 23 years old with 4 years of pro experience and moonlighting as a sophomore. I get that he's our guy and we want to win and it's within the rules. But it's a bit farcical that some of you see his situation as radically different.
