Gotta punch and screw each hoop to each stave. When they dry they get rickety. Best is you can cut a circle of 1" material and place it behind your lowest top hoop and same with top lower hoop. Then screw it all together. That'll lock it all solid.

Or wait till it dries then pound all hoops to the center to tighten it up then screw to lock. BUT youll then see aging differences in the staves as the hoops are moved.

I have some experience and barrels are some of the most difficult material to work with.

Plenty of Old Fitz 7 on the shelf at Specs on Texas. Great pours, go snag one.

It's my pastor's neighborhood, oddly enough, and it's not even upscale. We found them last year and will make a pilgrimage every Halloween now because he and his wife are so generous in sharing their libations. Robert showed us what's inside the house, and it puts this entire thread to shame. This table was just the bottom shelf stuff he's getting rid of to make some room, and he opened most of these bottles for us.

My son just received a bottle from his cousin after returning from Canada.

Tasted it last night and I really like the flavors. I know it's allocated but I haven't seen any over the past 12 months when I have been trying to find a bottle for him.

Went yesterday morning and saw them, so picked up a couple. Perfect timing, as I'd had my last pour of mine the night before!

They were giving out samples of Old Forrester Birthday! Had a taste, which was incredible, even at 10:30 am. Went by later in the day and was told they'd sampled out 2 bottles (said they only get a couple a year).

I picked one up on Saturday at the Texas Ave location.

Picked one up today and just poured a glass. I really thought it would be better.

I ranked from lowest to highest price in general. I couldn't bring myself to sign up for the really expensive ones. I know some of yall will disagree with that, but I'm on a budget

EHT first just because it's the first year in the BTAC lineup, the rest i dont remember what order I picked haha

I can confirm that it is indeed very good.

I went Pappy 23, 20, 15, VWF 13 rye and then ER17, WLW, GTS. That's a good point about the EHT though, might have to slide that up the rankings
