serious question, why are you Asterisks fans so emotional? Especially about the Dodgers? Is it because you had to flee the NL West to finally make the post season or is it because your ownership lets your biggest stars walk because they don't want to pay them?

Maybe take a look in the mirror to see who is being emotional. We may be rooting against the ****hole that is LA, but you're the one slinging mud and calling names.

Keep flailing against the dying light of your season.

You're right it may be me lol, but, there are a ton of out of the closet Asterisks fans in this thread behaving very emo kid about the Dodgers lol.

I don't get all of the Dodgers hate, or for that matter the LA as a city hate, I am an LA kid, you know that city that gave you Ronald Reagan. Us Angelino's don't like what the city has become but most of us are ex-pats now so don't have any control over it. There are a lot of good people that still live in LA. I often wonder how many of the LA bashers have ever been to the city?

Interesting theory... How do you feel about the Yankees and New York? You know, the city that gave you Theodore Roosevelt and Donald Trump?

And I'm not hating on the Dodgers. I just don't believe you don't see why a lot of people don't like the city of LA, or California in general.

Ling time Astros fans remember the time we all played in the NL West together and the Dodgers were the #1 hated rival.

We hated Lasorda. We remember when the Dodgers were portrayed and America's team and clean cut and white teeth and perfectly tanned. And his much of a false front that was for players like Garvey. Add in the BS managing of Lasorda when Deshaies had struck out 8 straight Dodgers to open a game and was about to set a ML record when Lasorda pulled his pitcher batting 9th in the T3 just to put a real batter in so JD couldn't break the record. That kind of bush league crap.

We hated the Dodgers. And we beat them in '80 to make the playoffs. It was a humiliating defeat for LA.

New York is a great city, it's like many world metro areas, I love to visit but wouldn't want to live there.

I only mentioned Reagan because most of the people who bash LA do it because of the woke stuff. I was simply pointing out the LA I lived in 33 years ago wasn't that way.

It has nothing to do with the Astros. Astros fans are just the ones you interact with a lot so you're projecting it being just them.

As a Cubs fan I can confidently say that EVERYONE hates the Dodgers.

Yes, LA is a dump. I've only been there once. The other stuff is just typical Houston sports whining.

LA used to be a great city but that's not the issue- others have touched on the Dodgers BS so I'll leave that alone.

What irks me is the fact that every damn team in the league was doing the same sort of sign stealing but only the Astros get bagged on for it. The booing of Altuve and cheering when Springer got hurt is BS. Especially when players like Mookie Betts openly admit they did the same and that every other team did the same but they don't have to deal with the crap. The organization was punished and players were given immunity because if they didn't they would have burned down the whole league while the Yankees doing the same crap long after the Astros stopped is swept under the rug.

Not everyone hates the Dodgers. It's mostly a National League thing. I don't hold any angst toward them - cool stadium, casual atmosphere, Vin Scully, Kirk Gibson. Dodgers fans aren't insufferable either.

Hard to say which franchise bears the most angst across baseball fans these days. It used to be the Yankees, but seems like most people pity them now since they can't win, and Aaron Boone is hilarious to watch when things go sour.

It might be the Astros.

We might be less than 48 hours away from baseball season ending. NFL will have to carry us until February.

Tell that to the multiple visiting fans who have been beaten with severe injuries and even a couple deaths by psycho Dodger fans. Apart from the bandwagon-fans from Hollywood most Dodger fans are the same as Raider fans.

I think the Dodger fans are probably the biggest part of it.

The current team itself has three of the most likeable guys in the entire league (Freeman, Betts, Ohtani).

Exactly. Last game I went to at Dodgers stadium was against the cubs a few years ago. A couple of guys in front of me were harassing a guy in a cubs hat the entire game. Literally to the point of the edge of violence, they wouldn't leave him alone. I was legitimately afraid for him. Even more so when they followed him at the end of the game as they were leaving, continuing to cuss at him and harass him. The poor guy just wanted to get the hell out of there. I was with a friend, who then had to go to the bathroom, so I couldn't leave her to make sure the poor cubs fan survived the night, but good god dodger's fans are the scum of the earth. NEVER wear the opposing teams' logo anywhere on your person when you're in that stadium. There are a lot of dangerous thugs who go to these games. You have to be extra careful, but especially after you leave the stadium. Then you're on your own...

Literal worst and most dangerous fans of any sport in the country. Yes, it's a generalization, but it's earned time and again. Scum of the earth for a garbage organization.

This is supposed to be a fun game to watch, in what should be a great atmosphere, but the fans make sure that you are legitimately afraid for your safety instead.

F the dodgers.

Their stupid little shimmy dance thing whenever they get on base makes me want to throat punch them. And they act like arrogant jerks. So f those guys.

Eh, Just about every team does a little choreographed move nowadays when they get hits....even our Aggie baseball team

I haven't noticed that with the giants games. But of course, they don't really get on base, so...

I watch most of the giants games each season and somehow I don't notice any other players on any of the teams they play doing it except when watching the dodgers games. Maybe I'm just not paying attention...?

I stick with the arrogant jerks comment regardless. F Em.

This thread isn't a group project. We don't get a grade. We're talking about the two teams in the WS. WGAS if we talk about one team and their fans? Still talking a team playing in the WS.

Brad Pitt narration is cool. Moneyball is a fun movie, although ironic that one of the teams is the Dodgers when that movie was about Oakland. Big spending gap there

Gausman looks pretty good right now. The Dodger batters, except Edman, have been whiffing pretty badly.

But to be fair, Yamamoto has looked good, too.
