re: Osuna, I think (respectfully) that you're off base, and here's why.
A lot of his ST ABs were against marginal pitching.
He's never played above AA, and he's only had 235 ABs at that level.
His playing time at the MLB level would be limited/platoon, which could (and likely would) hinder his development.
He's not on the 40 man roster yet.
Most importantly, it would start the clock on his service time. He would likely cool off and you've effectively wasted a year of him on the 40 man roster.
He had a great spring, and he's a great prospect. He absolutely should not have been on the OD roster. They sent him back to AA, that's really the only thing that I question or find surprising.
