Yeah the way I understand, Ashby is opening for Priester and is really tough on lefties, and Busch has struggled himself vs LHP. So I would think as soon as Ashby is out of the game, Busch will come in. Probably not my preference - I'd rather just have Busch hit lower in the lineup.

This series just feels like it's got all this brewers voodoo on it.

Very curious how the Cubs navigate the pitching tomorrow. Not sure they can patch together an effective bullpen game and I really think Boyd needs the extra couple days to go on game 5 if they should make it.

One thing I am looking at either tonight or if they get to a game 5, while he struggled this season overall, is Ben Brown who was excellent vs MIL this season. He is a guy who seems like he either has it or doesn't. Seems like a good candidate for these really short leashes that guys get in the postseason.

Today should be Johnny Fullstaff....if he finds someone who is getting outs then ride that train as long as he can.

Yep and Yep. And Shaw looked completely overmatched in the playoffs, and Swanson hit like **** as well. I hate both of these NL teams in the NLDS, so I guess I'll be rooting for the Mariners, kind of a feel-good story.

I don't disagree HOWEVER they will hopefully have a healthy Steele and Horton to anchor their rotation. That would leave Boyd, Taillon and Imanaga to round out a pretty solid 5.

That being said, I would not count on that group being fully healthy and effective all year, so they need a solid SP option to add.

I think Taillon developed the kick change and that was deadly when he came back. I hope he can build on it. pretty sure i am right on that.

Agree....Steele and a full year of Horton will be huge.....but also agree that need to anticipate someone getting hurt.

I also think there should be an anticpation of a drop off from Boyd and Taillon - it seems unlikely we'll see production equal to 2025 from them at ages 35 and 34.

Was thinking more about Kyle Tucker and the offseason moves. Seems more of a bust than a huge success. Overall traded away Bellinger in one deal and then Cam Smith, Isaac Parades, Hayden Wesneski in another deal. And this is the production they got this year. On paper....oof.
