This guy is a knock down shooter for the Hawks. .423 this year, .437 last year.

Reath has looked like Bassey - some real flashes of defensive potential... but he is also 29yo and barely ever plays.

They need size, but afraid to make a real trade. I think they got worse here.

EDIT: I just saw Reath had foot surgery and is out for the season. Hilarious.

It's not really an NBA season until Schroder has been traded.

I find it amazing that (NBA Champion) Ish Smith played for 13 teams, but was only traded 7 times. That guy barely made it a whole lot of times.

Definitely makes no sense for this season. Harden known for being a playoff choker and now you have two guys who want the ball and don't play defense.

In the ESPN article, Bontemps suggested they want Harden to be their main guy next season and move on from Mitchell in the offseason. Mitchell is a FA in '27 and Cleveland isn't sure they can hang on to him or even if they will want to commit to him long term.

I kind of get it for Cleveland. Can't depend on Garland health wise. And the east is so wide open with no clear contender. So despite Harden's playoff foibles, why not? He's not going to have to be THE guy.

But 60% of the cap to JJJ+Lauri is wild. Wonder if they flip Lauri elsewhere. Utah needs defense bad.

They are just going to sit everyone this year regardless. JJJ and Trae Young can start a podcast while their new teams tank.

Some guys that aren't lottery this year will probably sign big NIL deals to go back to school.

14th pick gets about 5M, so people after that can get about the same to play NCAA and improve draft status. Duke offered Cedric Coward $3M to transfer last year.

The Ringer's Chris Vernon's show is on live right now (youtube). I went back to the point where he heard that Jaren was traded. He was stunned, and mentioned how on The Mismatch released this morning, he said he didn't want Jaren traded.

It features a call from Jacoby. Not a professional call, but Jacoby on speaker phone.


The next home game for Memphis is the Utah Jazz.
