Fantastic quote from the Complaint:

Quote:

In an industry that rarely agrees on anything, there is finally an issue that everyone seems to agree on (other than TTU and the Attorney General): universities should not field players who have bet on their own team's games in college athletic

Josh Pate stated, "6 months ago Tech would have said, nope they should not play."

All these ADs are in for a rude awakening as more gamblers are identified. It's coming.

The best part of all this is the threats from tech and from the Texas Attorney General allowed the big 12 to actually sue tech.

It basically flipped the order and allowed the Big 12 to sue first. Ordinarily, The big 12 would act in accordance with its bylaws and governing documents and then tech upset with a decision would sue. But because tech said "any action you will take, we will sue you." Now the big 12 can sue saying that threat interferes with their right to govern themselves. Which is significant for several reasons, not the least of which is that tech would have filed in state court and the big 12 filed in federal court.
