This is so bad, we have our AG supporting a degenerate gambler who no one except tech wants playing. This sport is doomed if this is what we can expect if you want rules.

if state institution 1 is acting against state institution 2 for following a court order, then state institution 1 is not harmed in any way by the AG doing its duty to protect state institution 2.
put aside the absurdity of this order. the facts are there is a lawful order out there. the AG could not sit idly by if the Big 12 (including UH who I guarantee won't vote to do this) act against Tech for following that order.
that said, my WAG is this is all bluster and no one is going to actually punish tech or do any real boycott as long as this order is out there.

I hope Tech never gets the opportunity to field their gambler. However, it's big bag of $#!t that ESPN and others are advertising gambling during the games. We also have The University of Arizona's football stadium being officially named Casino Del Sol Stadium.
Hey let's promote addictive products to college-aged kids and then act outraged when student athletes gamble.

Interesting, this makes sense. Thanks for this.
Makes you wonder though if the AG would be doing this if a smaller university like UH were doing something like this. Would the AG do this for any public university in TX? Or is it just doing it out of a favor for some folks at TT?
Does A&M or Texas have any history of using the AG to support them in this manor? I don't recall the AG protecting us when we got in trouble in the Jackie Sherrill era.

Do you actually think Texas Tech is gonna make the playoff if Sorsby plays this season? Specifically be allowed to play in the playoff. Nope

Conversely, if UH and Fertita officially oppose playing against Sorsby does Tech really want to try them? Who blinks first?

I am a Tech grad and I am of the opinion that Tech should at the very least bench Sorsby for the whole season. That said, I agree with this. I am no fan of Paxton, nor of the injunction ruling, but his office is doing its job here.
Exactly. Setting a precedence that needs to be set for future situations.ahpetty33 said:AgDad121619 said:
This feels like virtue signaling - teams that don't have Tech scheduled nor any particular reason to do so are really throwing down the gauntlet
While true, don't direct your derision at the teams doing the virtue signaling. They are doing what's within their control. Direct it at teams that DO have tech on their schedule if they do not take action

Not if he gets hurt.

Genius really. Any publicity is good publicity.
Every game Tceh plays will be sold out and on prime TV.
Bring on the hatred. It will pack stadiums.
Ironic really.
Sorsby absolutely has to be banned…
