Or, you could go back through this thread and read my clearly stated opinions, which related to us stumbling down the stretch for the 2nd season in a row. Which somehow apparently bunched pumper panties and led to the troll accusations.

U Houston is surprising. TBH, I don't follow recruiting in general, much less want to get caught up in transfer portal drama now. But if it's true rankings mostly imply money, I wouldn't have thought there were big dollar boosters there.

Tech I sort of get, they have been what is thought of as a "major conference" most of their existence. So boosters being incentivized makes sense there.

Not U Houston bashing at all. I am a Houston (city) proud Aggie. Hate that people try to bash it and go to the old tropes. Love its space history, and volunteer at Space Center Houston. There's a buzz around Artemis 2. Would love to see UH do better (but of course not better than the Ags).

BUT.... I'd be lying if I didn't see the vibe of UH as a commuter school. Many students go there as a "regular college experience, one that you wear your colors and become a booster later". But as a percentage, I see it maybe as half "future boosters" and half "commuters" who likely don't care to give. Contrast that with Rice, TCU and SMU, I think most see them as a typical "booster making" colleges, less "commuters."

I suppose it really only takes a handful of loaded boosters to give....
