They care about the perception of overpaying? Does Tech?
Do you think Bama offered comparable $$?

QB play between Auburn and Alabama was not comparable. Both are good players, but don't look to hard at the stats.
Simpson struggled with the deep ball. Horton has insanely good hands. But gotcha considering Auburns horrific QB play.
Physically, Horton gets the nod IMO. Certainly size wise with equivalent 40 times. Moffit can hopefully do wonders for him.

Sark seems a bit desperate but not quite as desperate as Kiffin. Their OL is gonna be a huge weakness, yet, again.

Coleman would've been freaky amazing. Realistically, I'm shocked we got either one though. WR was not in the 3 positions I was most worried about going into 2026 so I didn't really think we'd land a splash on any of them. If anything, I was expecting a Jahdae Walker to come in and be WR4 or so
Kind of funny you mention a comparison to an NFL player as coming in to be a 4th.

Mind you their worst O-line recent years beat our best D-line in DECADES....

This was nowhere close to our best D line in decades. Nice try, sip.

ahh yes, the old "sip" insult. because when you dont pump sunshine and argue against the machine youre generalized as a "sip"... very democrat/liberal of you.

Best DL in decades???? How young are you? Cashius Howell was a monster in the pass rush (minus his disappearance in the tu and Miami game) but who else outside of him was outstanding? We had some players on the DL but no where near "best in decades". No one outside of Howell even received honorable mentions. That has to be ridiculous hyperbole.

Whoever is throwing the ball to them is gonna have a helluva lot to do with their productivity

This is a weak take. Cam is by far the superior player, no need to pretend otherwise. Horton may very well excel here and have a great season, but let's not be ridiculous because if Coleman had committed here you'd be ecstatic.
Far superior in what way? Speed? No. Size? No. Production? No. No one said we wouldn't be ecstaticif we landed Coleman wr would have been. But its okay to be thrilled with a bigger faster more productive SEC player that was way cheaper. Coleman was WR #1 Horton was a #2.
