Just like last year, they are a mystery to me so I pulled up and watched their game film...
Sure enough, they are a paper Tiger, again.
A few highlights - their QB this year is better than Brady Cook from last year, but now he's hurt. Their interior defense is pretty stout, but they struggle with speed. All decent teams they played, they had no separation in ability to score, put games away, and honestly lucky to be where they are.
Down to Kansas in late 3rd quarter
Down to SC late 3rd quarter
Dominated entire 2nd half by Bama before junk points with 1 min left in game
Down to Auburn before winning in OT
Ineffective against Vandy entire 2nd half - had to convert 4/5 4th downs to try to catch Vandy - ended with 10pts
With their starting QB Pribula, I give them 17-20 points. With the freshman, 1 score less - 13 pts max.
Ags score 37-42 points in this game and it's a replica of last year. Mizzou looks good on paper but they have no true strength outside of running the ball. I don't think they can against the A&M line -
The best chance? Get a turnover and up early - say 14-0 and play keep away from the front. If they cannot get out ahead, their young QB is going to have a long day.
Ags trounce them again... 41-13
It's simply not close; the talent gap is huge despite the stats.
