Ignore the serving size on the yogurt. The macros are for 170 g

Personally, I wouldn't worry about it as long as it's good healthy whole foods.

Dropped over a minute/mile over last week's ruck. (16:42/mi)

Weighed my vest, and was short 3# so last week was only at 27#

You ate 205g of protein? Thats impressive! Your goal is probably like 150, right?
tandy miller
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Yeah somewhere around there. I was surprised as well when I saw I was at 205 today

Nothing wrong with it just thought that was high. It's tough for me to get to 240-250 some days but protein shake in the morning gets me about 100g and eating 140-150 over the course of 3 meals is easy after that.

I def count on the yogurt in the am and shake in the afternoon/evening. But really it's not that hard to get to 150-170 for me anymore. It's way harder for me to get carbs than anything
ttha_aggie_09

Just add some more fruit and you should get there, if you really want more carbs. You're not lagging on energy or anything are you?

I know we talked earlier and I'm like you that I don't like bread and have always naturally avoided a lot of heavy carb stuff in my diet. I've never felt fatigued from being on the lower carb side of things but it seems like quite a few folks have a tough time with this.

I mean I'm tired at the end of the day but I am also exercising 5x a week. I ate a lot more carbs before, but it was all from garbage food

Your taste buds will 100% change if you do it consistently for long enough. I distinctly remember the day, maybe about 2 months into giving up added sugar, where I had a handful of blueberries and thought "holy **** these are sweet".

Yeah, my definition of cheat meal has changed a lot.

Usually it's just making a giant ribeye, a baked potato, and dessert, and not worrying about the amount of butter and cheese and what not.

Or I just make my own burger at home so I'm not getting a sodium bomb and just load it up.

Seems like I've lost some fat. Weight staying 127-129. Wondering if I need to be eating more, mass seems the same as 3 months ago (I know athletics are toy what's important here, but nice to see progress)

Honestly with what your goals currently are I wouldn't worry too much, and with your plan to dial back lifting as the end goal approaches.

It should actually work out pretty well if you plan to push the strength training - you're in your "noob gains" phase now with body recomp, so it's hard to gauge things the first 3-6 months.

If you were 6 months in, looked like that, and plateauing on your lifts, I'd 100% tell you to eat more.

But for now enjoy being lean and mean.

Damn son. I'm not sure my memory goes back far enough to myself at something close to that. You might consider keeping the diet after the trip!

Wouldn't worry too much about it - you've gone from no tracking/dietary discipline to very strict monitoring.

I've found that having an IDGAF day every few weeks seems to help with my energy levels, mood, adherence, etc. It also helps me not feel like some kind of weirdo at birthday parties when I have to tell people I can't eat any of the food they prepared.

Based on your track record so far it doesn't seem like it'll become a habit.
