Just finished the main story line for god of war ragnarok. Regretting that I was an Xbox guy and this is my first GOW game. Incredible storyline. Going backwards now Will play GOW 2018 next.

Finished God of War Ragnarok. Liked it better than the first one.

Death Stranding Directors Cut - this games sounds boring as hell but I gave it a shot since it comes with my PS sub and I'm really enjoying it.

Resident Evil Village - I swore I would not play another RE but I'm on road and found this in my Steam library. Must have purchased on big sale. HATE IT. This series sucks beyond the original. Yet again, I'm forced to run around getting eaten on while trying not to die long enough to trigger a cut scene in order to get the game to advance. Worst game design ever. Uninstalled.

I had same experience. At first I was like WTF is this? Then a couple hours in I got into the vibe and ended up really enjoying the experience overall. Highly recommended.

ARC Raiders. This is the game of the year for me. It's really amazing what a small studio can do to put out a quality game. I haven't had more fun playing any other game with my friends.

Embark is not exactly small. The have ~300 people working there

Finally beat Tears of the Kingdom.

I'd give it an 7.5/10. Overall, I just thought there was too much. My love of BotW came down to a relaxing open world where I didn't feel that need to collect tons of items and discover entire areas. At least 50% of this game felt like work, which is one of the reasons it took me so long to get through it.

I will say, then entire final boss sequences were superior to BotW. They did a great job of making that ending feel very epic.

There were a lot of great mechanics in this game that I did enjoy. But the entire depths region and all the caves just drained me.

Knocked out Uncharted 1 & 2 over this mini Ice Age. Absolutely love those games. Probably tied with Mass Effect for my favorite franchise.

Started GOW 2018 and need to get rolling with it. Also playing Ori and the Will of the Wisps.

Been into casual base building games with a buddy. First Minecraft and we've moved on to 7 days to die. Been a good time.

Have a private server if anyone is bored. Cross play enabled.

After beating expedition 33, I went back to my BG3 play through and finally beat that game. Now I'm doing a second play through of BG3 and it feels like a completely different game with this character.

Rediscovered Project Zomboid again over the ice storm. Survived 32 days, then accidentally pressed E while trying to escape a horde in a vehicle. Dead.

I love the idea of this game, and I know it has controller capability now but it's such an overwhelming game and the controller capability still seems janky the last time I messed with it.

They finally allowed multiplayer in the latest build that allows livestock and animals. I tried with playing with my kids aged 10 and 13. Impossible. I'd try to sneak around for food and supplies, and they'd find a gun and immediately start blasting. 5 minutes later we are all dead. Just like a zombie a movie where kids get everyone killed.

Next time you play you need to figure out how to use them as bait for the zombies.

Finished Avowed and love it! Plan to replay in a bit as a melee instead of ice wiz build and make different choices. If you like RPGs this is a good play with impactful decisions and interesting character builds.

Playing Demeo Battlemarked on oculus- fun but a bit too easy. Looking forward to new campaigns and/or harder settings.

Just getting started on Outer Worlds- I can already tell I am going to love this one. Kind of like Fallout style of humor and fun game play.

Deadlock added a new mode called street brawl. Legit think Deadlock is the most exciting multiplayer product on the market right now.

Picked up Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 on sale last week for the XBox. Started it. Played about 8 hours and was getting super frustrated from getting my ass handed to me by everyone I came across. Decide to restart fresh. Read some guides. Now I got ol Henry of Skalitz wrecking shop. Really great game!

I'm probably 40 hours into KDC2, by far the farthest I've ever gone in a RPG. I think I got maybe 10-15 hours into Skyrim and Fallout 4, normally a sports/racing game kind of guy. I sucked very bad at the beginning but really having fun now.

Going to try Clair Obscur when I finish this to try another RPG.

Tried NCAA '26. Made me rage. So I went back to the usual wheelhouse of RPG/Grand Strategy. Picked up Stellaris and it's a blast.

you should check out SurrounDead on the next steam sale.

Very Zomboid-like, but 3rd person, and more forgiving.

Yeah. I'm 100% a casual gamer so I've just been going at it an hour or so a week. I started with the tutorial and it's been fine so far. I just tell myself there's no way to get a handle on every little detail and to just have fun with it. It's much less anger-inducing than sports gaming.

A group of us have been grinding bf6 but I'm about to test the arc raiders water. We may do a custom Valheim server before that. We may wait for the final biome to drop first. My son wants to do a custom Minecraft server as well.

I'm still playing Arc Raiders. I went from "this is a fun game, not sure it will hook me, but I'm enjoying putting a few hours into it".... and now I've put 80+ hours in 1 month (which is a crap ton of gaming for me).

I wish I could finish that game. I just get so tired of the constant hassle of the BT's. Once I have been to an area, let me clear it out. I love building roads and infrastructure but the BT's get old.

I did just realize the Bola gun kills them so that's highly helpful.

World of Warcraft: Midnight

Early access comes out today. Yep, some of us olds still play. Theyve made some (imo) great improvements for casual/mostly solo player and new players. The hardcore players dislike it, but I feel like they are understanding that their player base is aging and we have other priorities. I appreciate that.

started Hogwart's Legacy. Never was a HP fan so this wasn't even on my radar until it popped up as free on gamepass so giving it a shot.

I can't tell but does the entire game feel like a tutorial? I'm level 15 now (not idea what max is) and I'm still being taught stuff. If I'm not a HP fan, what is the appeal of this game? Only thing difficult so far was dueling the 4 kids and that felt like more a struggle with the controls/camera/targeting than actual hard combat and I do play on hard mode.

Puzzles are so far a joke as well. just got my broomstick and flying seems harder than it should be.

On my 3rd play through of BG3. This game is so good. I don't even think I have ever played a game completely through a second time, much less a third time.

I've been playing through Zelda Ocarina of Time on the SteamDeck. I gotta say, a lot of the N64 games don't hold up very well in todays world, but this one just has that Nintendo magic.

The control and camera are not up to todays standards, but the game is still very enjoyable!

Can understand how you might feel that way, as you state you're not much of an HP fan.
Most of the enjoyment of the game was seeing Hogwarts and the surrounding locations amazingly realized in the game, and just exploring everywhere.

Seeing as you are a student at school, the teaching bit does carry on through the end of the game intentionally.

Combat is simple, but can be fun and overpowered if you learn the combos.

I agree, the "check off" puzzles were unnecessarily too many and boring after a while.

The exploration was the best part for me, even after a year I would go back and find places in Hogwarts castle I had never discovered before.

Only game I have played is Outer Worlds 2 (I am an old lol) and the reason I played it is because my son, class of 24 worked on the game. I did finish the game and loved it so much I started it again.
